Coming from console , this is an excellent device for gaming, streaming or just surfing the web. If you don't mind windows this is a great device. I've had for about a year and love it more than my ps5. The access to a vast amount of PC games makes this device worth it. The ally x is sturdy( i dropped it on concrete no case screen still mint but the bottom corner tooks a beating and chipped. Highly recommend getting a case and you'll be fine , i dropped it countless times after and still holding strong. I bought this last black Friday for a great deal. I have yet to run into a game i couldn't play on this. Pros: Gaming anywhere with nice fps nice feel battery life Game catalog easy to open and upgrade parts Cons: The plastic sides can chip if dropped Windows(if u dont like the os) Setting up to your liking takes a little time Asus support Screen is connected to front cover

I got it some months ago, first at all I didn’t idea to buy a rog ally but I just checked it in the store I played few minutes and I said I need it! That offer an incredible portable gaming experience! In my case I got an opened box of that and when I opened it at my home one of the buttons didn’t work so I just returned it… But now I’m still waiting for the new model is coming this year!!

Coming from a steamdeck oled and going to this is a complete game changer. The performance is phenomenal and the screen is gorgeous. The only complaint that I have is you cant use the joystick or dpad to use the pop up keyboard (Windows fault). Other than that, so far ive had a very good experience on this device and I have no regrets buying it, I highly recommend.

No regrets, no complaints. This console is fantastic. I was playing World of Warcraft and Roblox without any lag, everything was smooth, and I even managed to do some work. Unfortunately, my wife broke my device due to personal reasons. I’m still trying to figure out how it happened. I highly recommend this product. If I had the extra money, I would definitely buy another one.

Coming from the previous ROG Ally it's worth the upgrade. I know on specs the performance isn't much of an upgrade but solving the VRAM issue made gaming more smooth. I can play games now that i wasn't able to play before on the ROG ally because of the stuttering. Feels better on the hand and not worrying about the battery is worth the upgrade.

I needed a device to bring to work when i have free time and this thing is awesome. Can play all the games i want and the games still look very good would definitely recommend this item

I picked up an "open-box" model (with missing AC adapter). The overall cosmetic of the unit is very good. So far I found no issues with the hardware. It works real well right out from the box. It's definitely FASTER than its predecessor, the speaker is awesome. I installed the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered - and it works flawless. Of course, you needed also installed the necessary components for Windows 11 to load up the game properly (what do you expected - it's a Windows's base Operation System). I really like it personally.

So far I love my ROG X, it’s an awesome system once you have it set up and the games you can run is incredible. My only complaint which might be my unit specifically, is the RGBs stutter every now and then, one of the triggers has a squeak now which is weird, but goes away. Other than that I would definitely recommend it to any person who wants a console/pc hybrid. Especially if you travel for work like myself the extra battery power and upgrades are amazing.

I play on my Ally X almost every day. I installed SteamOS on it and it runs AAA titles decently. Currently playing ARC Raiders, so fun. Originally bought in the 2024 Holiday season, I can get some gaming time back after my kiddos go to sleep. Also great on long flights. The battery is decent, especially when playing indie titles.

Woow, i got one rog ally x and i am so happy, it play game above 60 fps at medium graphics and the battery life feels like it last forever. I am very happy with this handheld.

Honestly i love mine! I had the rog ally extreme and i upgraded to the rog ally x and gave my extreme to my girlfriend, its not the biggest upgrade to the rog ally extreme but the fact the battery last way longer and the SD card issue was fixed as well as the minor graphical improvements its awesome

Awesome device. great for avid gamers who travel. price tag is scary, but totally worth it. find myself laying in bed playing the ally instead of my gaming PC.

Goes to show how much more performance you can get just from having a little extra ram. It's definitely not perfect (especially in the software department), but that can get better with time. As for the hardware? Excellent for the mission it has! The extra battery, ram, airflow, and handles all make the Ally X a great device to have. I'm looking forward to the future of this to see how much better it's gunna get.

Its amazing for using it on the go and very powerful although it can run almost every game, it will not last on battery power for a long time and definitely still has its glitches and bugs due to it being somewhat new. Its nice if you travel frequently and have time to use it, but I found to have used it for a week then didn't pick it up so I ended up returning it.

Still though I don't play all the time I do find the time alot easier too play this then a regular console. It runs GTA v online well enough too be playable. It runs the latest COD online that's very playable. It runs the latest forza. The graphics on these games are not as good as obviously a real console or PC but on such a small screen it does not bother me a bit

The device has some drawbacks: some of the old games cannot be played. Im impressed that it can run call of duty and games like diablo4. It is not as user friendly as you would like. Some setting tinkering is required depending on the game . I love how you have full pc operation. You can hook up a mouse, keyboard and monitor to the ally x to have a mini pc on the go. For what it is, it worth the cost.

Absolutely in love with this thing. Plays all my games great! Took it on the plane with me, and was able to play there, as well as while in Cancun while the spouse was getting ready for going out at night. I have an Alienware laptop with a 3080, and actually prefer playing on this system!

This thing is amazing. Battery life is insane, its jot just double the size, but its way more optimized so youre actually getting a noticeable, usable dufference. The bump from 16gb to 25gb or RAM makes a much bigger difference aa well. The amall changes to the size amd shape make it feel like a much different device as well.

Bought it open box. In excellent condition, like new. Battery life is amazing, huge upgrade from original allowing me to play about 4 hrs per day for 3-4 days on a single charge. And the device getting really really hot is now a thing of the past, not to mention much more comfortable to hold and play than the first Ally.

Graphics and run-ability is amazing outstanding game device I’ve taken this with me when traveling and it works so well running anything I want it’s literally a mini pc and I cap at least 140 fps and online games run smoothly no delay
