Great Handheld PC. Battery life is great. Hopefully this gives the competitions initiative to bring out more devices with even better performance and battery life. As a Husband, and Father, this has made my love for gaming even more accessible. Anywhere, Anytime.

Really lovely machine with a nice weight to it. I love that it is so essy to expand with a dock and dedicated port for charging. I also love how quick the setup is even though it can be a little jank for the windows starting but honestly handles like a beast. Been grinding the new cod and it feels nice

Excellent overall, major improvement from previous Ally including double capacity battery life, 1tb ssd, 24mb memory and ergonomics design. This is much faster and fan cools down the unit very efficiently. Highly recommended for its size and worth the upgrade.

I want to start by saying, I’m a huge gamer. I’ve owned just about every console. From the switch, PlayStation and even Xbox. Recently I’ve been getting into PC gaming, and that definitely changed everything. I’ve held off buying a PC handheld, until I saw the ROG Ally X. It offered me almost everything I was looking for. And, from the first day I bought it, I’ve used it everyday; and this thing is probably one of the best gaming consoles I’ve purchased in a longgg time. I upgraded it to 4TB, and can play just about everything. And games I can’t play, I can stream from my PC. The battery lasts a decent amount of time, the screen is crisp and clear. I’m definitely a huge fan of handheld gaming due to being able to play at work without bringing my beefy gaming laptop. It’s so comfortable to hold, and it’s quiet. I never hear it; unlike my gaming laptop. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I really love this thing. Games look great on it and I can use Steam, Epic, EA, etc no issues. The biggest plus for me is that since its windows 11 I can run Launchbox and have all my emulation on it as well. Its pretty confortable in the hands overall, I wish the sides were more rounded out to be a little fuller for a more comfortable grip over time. With the horsepower this has I see it being viable for games for quite a few years.

This machine was amazing. I got stuck playing spiderman for 3-4 hours because how fun the game was on the rog. The one issue i had with it was after 4 days of having it the volume down button stopped working and now the product has been discontinued. Not sure what i will get next but this thing was great for the short while it worled for me.

Great handheld runs games great I've been playing the batman arkham series and they all run great. As well as dragonball sparking zero, far cry blood dragon, spiderman 1 and miles morales, resident evil 2 remake, and more. My only issues are with windows 11. But if you are used to gaming in windows there's nothing new that will hamper your experience Cyberpunk is playable but could be better. Cant wait for steam os to be available because that will take the rog ally x from great to amazing. I love the look of the handheld. It feels great on my big hands and i really like the color of the buttons. One minor issue is that when gaming sometimes my fingers accidentally touch the screen causing miss imputs. I hope they add a touch screen toggle to armoury crate(devise quick settings/steam os alternative) Armoury crate can be slow at times and depending on the game you might have to minimize it to use it.

I really love this device. I had a lot of fun playing some old games from the Xbox app. It's also very fun playing with friends with your Sting games and epic games. I was shocked on how well everything runs. Sadly, there was there was a bit of screen tearing, but there is a program that helps with that. Everything runs very smooth.I like the back button position. Makes it comfortable on your hand for long time. Use

I had the original Ally and currently have the steam deck oled. My review after a few days: The battery life is so good and worth the upgrade for me. Gamepass games are easy to install and play. More powerful than my steam deck. I will be selling the steam deck.

Im always on the go and this thing lets me game on my breaks without a problem. Super portable and powerful

If you are well off enough to afford an $800 handheld PC, a 4TB 2280 NVMe drive to upgrade, and another $100 in a DBrand Killswitch and glass protector then yeah. This is an absolutely fantastic device that is incredible to play on and I love it so much more than I thought I would. I play gamepass games as well as steam primarily. I wanted newer more powerful hardware than the steam deck had because I prefer triple A titles. Is this worth the difference over the steam deck? If you also play resource heavy games and want a ton of local storage then it is totally worth it. If you just want to play your steam game collection on the go and don't mind dialing down the settings then get the Steam Deck. They both excel at what they are meant to be.

Love it literally a portable pc I play most any titles on this thing at a surprising 120 to 90 fps on more extreme titles all in all amazing

I was looking for something compact to play games on without bringing a laptop with me and the rog ally x definitely suits the need. Able to play assassin’s creed shadows pretty well(better when plugged in). Diablo 4 no issues with it, and no problem running less demanding games like fall guys. It doesn’t replace a laptop but a good substitute if you don’t want to carry anything bulky during a trip.

I love having my steam games on the go. It's a nice size. My games run perfectly on this system.

The Rog Ally X has been a valuable workhorse as part of my travel gaming needs. It’s been able to run everything I typically play without problems. I appreciate the different power modes and the auto selection when it’s plugged in. The Rog gets a good 3 hours of gameplay before having to charge. This has been perfect for my work or holiday travels. Pair this with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and you basically have a full fledged PC!

I love this handheld. With my experience with this thing, I could honestly say it’s the best handheld out there for gaming and basically everything. A pc on the go.

First, Rog Ally X has offered a great upgrade to its original Ally. It feels as if the company listened to the feedback just enough to scrape by to what the final product should’ve been the first time. The only issue I have with the Ally is the time to set up and the bloatware from Windows 11. Unless you are planning on using Microsoft Office on this, a lot of stuff can be deleted. Setup was a little over 2 hours plus an extra 2 hours cause I’m just a little much. As for Best Buy, I feel like I am an Alzheimer’s patient with severe sunsetting every time I preorder. For a new PS5, took three weeks to deliver. Preordered an Xbox X for launch date - 1 week to deliver the PREORDER. As for the Rog Ally X… I preordered this months before it came out. The street date was Monday 7/22. They didn’t even ship it til the 24th despite the order saying “will be received by end of day” on Monday. When I called customer service, I got some guy named Ken, who was definitely NOT named Ken, telling me “I know you are just excited to see your new gadget”. Bro, yes, but don’t patronize me and don’t lie. Again, Best Buy doesn’t deliver which is why they are shutting stores across the US. You cannot depend on them. TL;DR - get the Ally X. Never preorder from Best Buy.

Battery life is awesome. Performance is amazing gets amazing frame rate. Settup was simple and easy. Controls are easy to switch between and the auto switch isnt too bad.

Very impressed by the high performance and quality of this handheld! Knocks the steam deck out of the water (besides the feeling of the device in your hands). I dock my ROG and connect it to my monitor and am able to play any game at 1080p 180Hz with zero issue! Very happy with my purchase.
