It’s great but nothing really changed other than more battery. Its quite a shame because although it has its pros like running triple A games quite well. You still only get 2 hours and 45 mins of gameplay running on 25w turbo mode and although that sounds like plenty of time you’ll be surprised with how fast that goes when you jump from game to game. I would recommend this if your a indie gamer but again for 800 bucks I would stay with steam deck if your playing indie games. Now it might seem like i’m bashing this device however I personally really do love this device. Its fits all my wants and needs when looking for a handheld. Out of all the handhelds this does offer the best performance out of all of them. If you are somewhere where you will have a outlet near by and love triple A games on the go with reasonable great graphics then the ROG ALLY X is your guy! I’m giving 4 stars because I love it but I feel that it can be better!

While this has a learning curve it's been a ton of fun. Being able to play GBA and BG3 on a single machine has been great. I use it for other stuff too so I don't mind it having windows when I order Grubhub or tab out to look up something on Gamefaqs. If you are willing to deal with windows and like tinkering, this is for you.

Solid machine, no doubt, it performs well and the 120Hz display is nice. But the recent price bump really hurts its value, especially when SteamOS devices running the same Z1 Extreme chip are smoother and more optimized without the Windows overhead. If this dropped $100–150 and supported something like the upcoming Xbox OS, it’d be an easy recommendation. As it stands, it’s good, but not quite competitive right now.

If you want a traditional laptop but also want the ease of gaming like a switch this is the product. All my steam games are playable along with my Xbox games super ease to us last a long while. And everything is just so smooth.

I love this device! I owned a steam deck and loved it, but started to run out of power so I looked into this. I installed steam os and this thing is magical. Runs so smooth and the joysticks can change colors. ROG Ally x for the win! I am a new father and this is perfect for when I have free time.

This handheld PC is amazing. It offers desktop like performance. Not only can I do Excel spreadsheets on here. I can hook up a monitor and game and run amazing emulators on it. It’s like a switch and the PC had a baby. Great time with this piece of technology.

Love this because i can play on the go when ever i have to work outta town instead of bringing my pc set up i bring this and its just as good as my pc, worth every penny

I bought this as a gift for my husband and he loves it. It works super well and has all kinds of things you can do on it. My kids like to use it as well. We've had it for a while now and haven't had any issues.

My favorite electronic in the past couple years. Cloud gaming works very well. Battery life is amazing. Once optimized I can get 120 fps on average. This is a must have for any gamer.

I had the original Asus Rog ally and it was great but always wished the battery lasted longer. The Ally x has twice the size in battery and with the beefed up ram it was worth the upgrade.

Amazing! My fiance has a ps5 and uses the tv, so I wanted something portable so I could sit on the couch with him and play. I am amazed by the picture quality and loading speed. I am not a hardcore gamer (came from playing on switch) but even my fiance is amazed by the quality of this hand-held!

This handheld is a beast! The performance from the AMD Ryzen processor is incredible, and it runs every game I've thrown at it smoothly. The 120Hz screen makes gameplay look amazing. This is truly next-level portable gaming.

Asus - ROG Ally is handy for handheld PC gaming and fun experience for anyone looking to game on the go. Battery life is improved and docking the system is easy.

While the price is a bit steep at $800, this is the ultimate handheld as of now. You can play AAA games at 1080 P with modedt frame rates and get decent battery life.

This is a great product as built by ASUS. It feels sturdy and comfortable in a different way as compared to my Steam Deck OLED. The high refresh rate screen with VRR is very nice and helpful when you have varying frame rates in advanced games. The main issue is Windows - I am techy and patient, but all of the different interfaces are messy and still need different ways to use. I know Microsoft is working on this, it would be needed.
