This thing is great and finally allowed me to play my Steam backlog now that I can do it anywhere. You can install SteamOS on it now (or even dual boot) and have the best of both worlds. Highly recommend.

I purchased the rogue alley x because I’m a Mac user and have never had a gaming pc. Connecting a monitor, keyboard, and mouse is super easy and allows you to operate it as a desktop computer. The convenience of being able to play controller supported pc games on the go is seriously awesome. The operating system can be clunky on such a small touch screen, but learning some of the button combinations will help you navigate and pop up keyboards pretty well. This system has replaced my ps5 for the time being.

I have a 1st gen ROG ALLY z1 extreme and the extra ram on this really makes a difference. The battery is much bigger as well.

Steam OS is great for pc gaming compared to windows but with bazzite this is better than steamdeck oled. You really feel the upgrade. Windows OS is not designed for handheld so its not ideal. But now bazzite or steam os works great so you can have the best of both worlds. Good build quality. It feels like a compact tank

I really actually enjoy rog ally x despite windows kinda being difficult to navigate and use and the 7 inch screen the device is quite good and powerful the battery life is good it’s my first handheld gaming pc even tho I was doing all my research

The ROG Ally X is definitely a powerful handheld, and I can tell it’s built with high-end specs and performance in mind. The screen looks great and everything runs smoothly, but as an average gamer, I honestly don’t feel like I’m getting $900 worth of value out of it. It’s fast and impressive, but a lot of the technical upgrades are things I can’t really appreciate day to day. For casual gaming, the price just feels way too high, and I think there are more affordable options that would fit my needs just as well.

Best gaming handheld system I have owned. You will not regret this purchase. My Nintendo Switch has been officially replaced. Enjoy playing all the great steam games so far this year. I have gotten a wireless mouse and will soon get a wireless keyboard.

Amazing device. Handles anything I throw at it. Comfortable to hold with amazing battery life. Highly recommend for anybody looking for a handheld.

First step into the PC world, let alone a handheld one. Debated for so long between this and the Steam Deck OLED. I’m loving it so far. A powerful machine and it’s cool learning about all the different settings. I do have friends to help me understand it all but if you want a simpler experience maybe the Steam Deck is a better option. As much as I wanted to pick up and play, it was worth going through all the setups and being patient before using it. I deleted most of the Microsoft bloatware as I am using this strictly for gaming.

8/10 product and not a 10/10 of product for 1 main reason. Windows. Windows on handhelds has never and probably will never be a great experience always feels jankey. That said there is an alternative but it does take some work. I’ve used steamOS on this device permenantly (more specifically Bazzite) and this it what the ally needed to make it a true 10/10 product.

The ROG Ally X is the best handheld gaming PC available right now. Battery life is amazing and it has the best performance available in a handheld.
