Definitely the better choice between this & the original ally just the bigger battery alone helps out in different ways definitely a plus

Tremendously better than the 1st gen model! The grip feels way better, back buttons are placed in a great spot where you don’t accidentally press them. Runs everything I play smoothly and desktop mode doesn’t disappoint!

I recently have had a PS Portal, and a Steamdeck OLED, and this item blows them both away. The ability to play games across different platforms is amazing. This comes at the cost of great battery life. I would recommend you buy a power bank or stay plugged in for long gaming sessions, but for short gaming sessions? This item is the best handheld you can buy!

Love this! I can't sit at a console and game so I picked this up. Runs Steam well (plus other systems) and is adjustable. Screen, although not OLED, is still very bright. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but have been very pleased with this.

I travel overseas a lot and the ROG Ally X allows me to pass the time when chilling in the hotel room. So far I’ve only played Xbox GamePass games and all have worked well except Return to Castle Wolfenstein - can’t get it to run. Make sure you enable offline gaming on your Microsoft account. One complaint, it’s difficult for me to hold the controls and tilt the screen to view straight on. If the screen could rotate that would fix this issue.

I was on the fence of buying it. But i’m glad did, is quite powerful to where i can play my favorite games on the go.

Love the battery life and powerful processor. You can really stretch the battery life by turning the graphics down and lowering the processor down to 17w

I came from a Lenovo Legion Go which I sold because it was just too heavy and didnt meet my expectations because of things such as battery life, sound wuality, etc but this thing is amazing and fixes most of the issues i had with the go! Games play great and its just so nice to use. Cant wait to keep using it!!
