New Name - Same Superior Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No matter how many laptops I try out I`ve always found myself coming back to my HP Spectre so when I saw HP was transitioning to the new Omnibook Ultra Flip I will say I was disappointed by the name, but intrigued with what HP had in store for this new model to which I will say I`m extremely impressed. HP has definitely taken everything that made the Spectre great and moved it to this new model. ASTHETICS: First, right out of the box the laptop maintains that premium aesthetic and build quality. The subtle matte black/gray color is very refined with the premium chromium HP logo. For the size the laptop is not flimsy in the slightest and upon opening, the screen wobble is nearly nonexistent. The size is definitely a major selling point here as this thing is extremely light at just under 3 pounds. Thus, the portability component is a major selling feature. One major characteristic I`m glad HP carried forward are the angled rear USB-C ports on the corners. Yes, there are simply three USB-C ports here along with an audio jack, but for the majority of use cases today there is not much more you could need with the wider use of cloud data transfer and USB-C peripherals. To go further HP ensured that all these ports allow you to charge the laptop with two being Thunderbolt ports. So from a design standpoint it definitely checks all the boxes for me. SCREEN & SOUND: Upon powering the laptop up there are two noticeable items to highlight. The first is how gorgeous the screen is as with the OLED screens on laptops they seem to be hit or miss, but the brightness here results in a very vibrant display which is perfect for HDR content. The other key item to mention is how quiet this laptop is when running. I never noticed the fans in my week of use so far with this laptop as it has been whisper quiet. With this though I have never had any heating issues in the slightest as it has always remained cool as well. For me these are two key features that all laptops need to focus on as HP knocks it out of the park here. PERFORMANCE: So you`d think with how compact this laptop is coupled with the fact it is whisper quiet and remains cool that the performance may suffer to which this is not the case in the slightest. This laptop tackled everything I threw at it throughout my work day. At nights I did even boot up a couple games just to see if it could keep pace and for not being a gaming laptop, to kick out 30-60fps on the couple games I did try I was most definitely impressed! While working though two standout features were the haptic feedback keyboard and trackpad because they were very satisfying to use throughout the day as typing was a breeze and I did not have any issues with gestures while using the trackpad. 2-IN-1 USE: Obviously here one of the major facets is the 2-in-1 capabilities. HP continues to impress here as going back to the build quality the hinge is very firm allowing perfect use of this 2-in-1 capability. When in tablet mode though is where I was most impressed for the palm rejection when utilizing the pen was amazing. Then when I was done with the pen, the magnets on the side held the pen very secure that I had zero worries that it would fall off in transportation. BATTERY LIFE: The last thing to touch on is the battery life where for me it worked extremely well as I got about 8-10 hours of use each day which fits my workday perfectly. Overall, I don`t know what else you could ask for in a laptop as the bright vibrant screen paired with superior performance and 2-in-1 capabilities hits nearly every use case coupled with the premium aesthetic and portability creates that perfect laptop in my view. I didn`t think I would transition away from my HP Spectre laptop for awhile, but this new iteration by HP has definitely made it easy for me to upgrade to this newest model.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was okay but not at all what I needed for my photography business. Ram to low. Best Buy though was amazing and I took it back and found another computer that was way better for my needs.

Almost Perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a solid computer and almost perfect. The biggest weekness is a personal matter. While the OLED screen is gorgeous, it hurt mu eyes over a long period of use.

very poor igpu performance
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Build quality is great, screen etc just like the previous hp spectres. the only problem is the ipgu on this performs very poorly. ive tried everything but the numbers are comparable to or below 8000u ryzen series igpu performance. my guess would be hp power limits the cpu to keep temps down but the temps while gaming are barely 70. really a bummer on this

Great for work or school
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What the heck is this AI stuff? Actually this old man can only describe it as a supercharged search engine but more. You can get it to search for information and it will provide a summary of the result. I've seen more and more computer vendor help sites leveraging AI to assist customers troubleshooting their component or system. It's the wave of the future and hopefully it will make our jobs and life easier. With the AI wave upon us HP has come out with a Windows Copilot powered 2 in 1 laptop. The specs are awesome for a daily driver for school or work. It's 14" touch screen and ultra thin size, along with weighing in at under 3 pounds, it is the perfect to toss into a backpack. The Intel Core Ultra 7 with 16 GB of memory gives this 2 in 1 plenty of horsepower to run your business apps with ease. The 1TB SSD give the laptop plenty of headroom to have those apps along with any files (and why not some media files, although streaming seems to be the preferred method for that content). 3K OLED display powered by Intel Arc graphics has a respectable resolution of 2880 x 1800. The display sports Gorilla Glass making it resistant to scratching and mild abuse. I wouldn't recommend to use for gaming. Games eat up storage pretty quickly unless you stream or use cloud based. I loaded up one of my favorite AAA games, Days Gone, and even on low graphics settings I got a lot of stutter and dipping frame rates. It might be better for something like PUGB or other less graphics intensive games. I especially like 2 in 1 tablets for a few reasons. Standard laptop orientation is amazing for day to day use but if you need to go keyboard-less you can flip int quickly into tablet form and with the touch screen it's more than capable. I use the 2 in 1 for another reason. If you flip it but not all the way flat, making like a tent, I use as a portable table top display for trade show slideshows or if I'm doing training with a small group I don't need a projector. I can just flip to a tent (inverted V) and I do my tabletop demo or power slides. It's a real effective method and something I use often. For the size the speakers are surprisingly good. Plenty of volume, no rattling, good sound quality. Thumbs up!!! The I/O is decent although you may need to invest in a external I/O hub to gain some features. With two Thunderbolt ports you can plug in a USB-C input monitor, use the other to charge or plug in a fast external drive. For me the angled ports off the back corners is a bid odd but makes sense as it's not quite side and it's not quite back, more out of the way I suppose. The Omnibook Ultra also comes with one USB-C port on the right side and a headphone jack of all things on the left side. I only say that because I assumed most devices were strictly going Bluetooth. I'm not complaining mind you. All I/O is welcome. However, due to the thin profile it is lacking a USB-A port, ethernet jack and no SD card slot (micro or otherwise). Although the WiFi 7 adapter is fast enough if you have a comparable WiFi router. Now to address the lacking I/O. I found it necessary to acquire a USB-C/Thunderbolt hub that not only gives me the capability of plugging in a HDMI monitor or projector, I gained two USB-A ports and a SD card slot. Most can be purchased for under $50 and it's proven to be a necessity for my travels. I can now use my USB-A thumb drives, external hard drive and SD cards. It's a great lightweight and nimble laptop/tablet for everyday use but don't expect to do any serious gaming with it.

Excellent !
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP Omnibook Ultra Flip with AL and Copilot. This is a 3K laptop with Intel Ultra Core 7 processor. It is a powerhouse with a 14inch screen and a nice package. This version has 16g and 1tB of memory. The computer has a rounded edges almost with seams and in a well built sturdy package and it show its different. It is mostly all dark grey and weight is acceptable. It really feels solid and keyboard has a excellent feeling. The screen is amazing. It is vibrant, bright and responsive. It is touch screen, face recognition, and finger print sensor. All of which work seamlessly well. The touch pad is slightly larger than usual and is also responsive. The general rule for this laptop is 'top notch'! The computer is fast, responsive and that 3K screen is amazing. It does not have branded sound but that is not a negative as the sound is great. The keyboard is back lit and well done, not like some where its backlit but still hard to read the keys. Battery life has so far, been excellent with me getting the better part of a day of use watching videos and some basic work functions. All in all this is now my favorite computer to date, and it has been used a lot.
