Cleans and sanitizes just using tap water!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shark SteamPickup 3-in-1 Steam, Pick-Up & Sanitize Mop - Black/Stone Metallic is pretty neat. The steam output it puts out is amazing! It does a really good job of mopping floors especially since it isn't using anything besides water. Inside the box the steamer comes in a couple of pieces that easily snap together, and there is also a plastic base station to park the mop and roller when not in use. Let me first start out by saying there is no vacuum feature on this mop, it just has a roller that is made out of lots of various small bristles. Some of which are soft, and others are very stiff and plastic feeling. There is a metal scraper bar that the roller spins against that wipes the debris off the roller. The instructions say that there is no need to vacuum or sweep before using this mop, but I found that not to be 100% true, it depends on what you're trying to pick up as this mop struggled to pick up fuzzy/dust bunnies/drier lint/pet hair etc... instead it just rolled that stuff into wet strings and left them behind. I used the mop to clean 4 rooms in my house plus a hallway, and it does really good for the most part, but it struggled to get close to the walls, or into the corners. Cleaning 4 rooms on high steam took 2.5 tanks worth of water, and the mop had to be emptied and cleaned 4 times total including the final clean to store it on its base. I really like it and it did a great job where it could reach, except for a few quirks here and there. If it could get flush with the corners and the walls, and it actually picked up dustbunny/drier lint/pet hair instead of balling those up it would be perfect, but there's still a little room for improvement.

Perfect for hardwoods or tile, cleans well!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3 in 1 steam mop vacuum. Picked this up to use on a houseful of hardwoods. We had a different steam mop, but this one having the vacuum feature added hopefully means one less function or cleaning activity needed, since we previously had to vacuum first before mopping. Initial thoughts upon unboxing and assembling were that it feels too light weight and may be cheaply built, but so far that has absolutely no bearing on how it works. What we like about it so far is the simplicity and ease of use. One clean water tank to fill is nice, versus some models we have used that have cleaner tanks and dirty water tanks on top of water. The roller is self cleaning, however, I find that after heavy cleaning, a rinse doesn't hurt to make sure it is not holding anything in the pad that it picked up off the floor. The debris that is picked up is easy to empty out. The cord length is nice, so you don't have to keep moving the plug when doing the whole house or large rooms. Cons: In my opinion, the vacuum suction part is a little under powered as compared to most vacuums, but being that this isn't just a single function unit, I an ok with this given its lightweight and affordable price point. That's really the only down side I see so far, which is not a deal breaker or reason to not get it. I am still giving this 5 stars. I recommend this to anyone with hardwoods, lvp or tile floors. Can get rid of swiffers and wet swiffer mops and just use this!

Easy and effective
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Shark steam mop is simple to assemble and use. It's compact, and needs less than half a minute to warm up and start producing steam. It comes with a small stand to hold it when you're not using it. The water reservoir is not huge, but it was still sufficiently large for us to do a few rooms before refilling. This is the first steam mop I've used, so I cannot speak to its performance relative to competitors. However, it seems to work just as I well as I could have hoped. With two young kids, it's common for us to have little sticky spots where drips happened, and this mop had no problem handling them with a quick pass. Our primary interest in this mop was for simple cleaning, but it can also sanitize. However, according to the manual, full sanitization does require spending significantly more time going over each spot you wish to sanitize. My wife and I definitely expect to get use out of this mop, and after a few quick sessions so far, we're very pleased with the ease-of-use, handling, and performance.

A very useful floor cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GOOD - Combines basic dirt/dust clean-up and steam mop in single unit - Three steam levels BAD - Water tank is a bit small - Undercarriage scoop catches on floor seams and gaps - Doesn't pick up larger floor debris - Can be icky to clean out TLDR The SteamPickup is a handy cleaning tool so long as you have proper expectations. It has no vacuum suction or dust bag, only a rotating brush and small internal dustbin. It will steam floors with moderate dust and grit on them without needing to sweep or vacuumed first. But don't expect it to sanitize your floors while cleaning up spilled Froot Loops and diced onions. DETAILS The best thing about the SteamPickup is that it eliminates the need for vacuuming and sweeping your floor before steam mopping it, or at least somewhat. Though Ninja advertises that it does dry pick-up, this is in nowise a vacuum cleaner. It has no suction and the dirt collection container is a small tray in the head without much room. Think of it like a mechanical broom. It can sweep up minor dirt and dust, but not larger chunks. So if you just want to steam clean your front room that's dusty and has a little dirt and mud tracked in, this thing will do it in one shot without needing you to sweep it first. If you want to do your kitchen, you'll want to clean up the spilled food bits and breakfast cereal first. When cleaning, you can choose from three different steam levels. However, the water tank is a little on the small side. It's enough to finish a medium-sized room using the highest steam level, but you'll likely need to refill it a few times if you want to get your kitchen, bathrooms, and rest of the house. Also, you need to be careful when cleaning floors with gaps or seams. The underside of the head has a lip for the roller brush, like the leading edge of a dust pan when sweeping. That lip tends to catch on things like transition strips between hardwood floors or grout spacing between ceramic tiles. Also, due to the nature of the device, cleaning out the dirt tray in the head can be a little gross since the dirt swept in is getting wet from the steam. Usually it's fairly simple to rinse out in a sink, but if you have a lot of dust or hair getting picked up, it can involve a little more work to clean out the tray.

A steam mop that I didn’t realize I’d need
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Living in a home with mostly hard floors (tile, vinyl, some hardwood) has made me realize that the days of using a mop with a bucket is not the most efficient, or clean, solution for floor care. I have considered a steam mop before, but never considered how crucial one could be in a mostly hard floor home! The Shark SteamPickup mop is a cool tool. It’s efficient in that it picks up debris as it deploys steam, which saves time when you want to really “deep” clean a hard floor. The suction is pretty good considering it’s not really the primary function, but it won’t hold too much, so for more debris I would recommend a vacuum first. But for light debris this is great. The steam function is pretty straightforward. You fill the clean water tank and turn it on. It has levels of intensity (more steam) and as the roller carries you across the floor, you begin to see the steam come out. It leaves a damp, but not soaked floor, and in my environment (arid climate) it dries in an about 30 seconds or less. The mop doesn’t really integrate a cleaning fluid, so I used a mild solution of floor soap in a spray bottle and spray lightly in front of the mop, and it steams and makes the room smell fresh. This doesn’t really leave behind a sticky feel either from the soap. Tile looks bright, hardwood looks clean, but I decided to follow up with a mop of oil soap to condition the wood, and it looks fantastic. I would prefer a slightly wider head on the mop, but this size just requires me to add a pass or two maybe. Not a big deal. I would recommend this mop highly for homes with hard floors!

Great Two in One Cleaning Device
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have hardwood floors in our whole house. We also have two dogs and two cats for pet hair is a constant presence that needs to be cleaned up. The combination of the vacuum and steamer is right what we are looking for. Good * Very easy setup * Compact and light * Easy to fill water container * multiple clean levels * easy empty water and debris * Scrub brush does the trick for pet hair * No hoses to clog Needs Work * Small debris and dirty water trays * Leaves the floor wet for longer than expected * Not cordless The steam is available quickly once the device is powered on. I found the collection of pet hair and larger items to be handled relatively easy. The steam left the floor cleaner but the collection of dirty water is not as much as expected. It appears the bulk of the water is left on the floor. It does not pool but be prepared to not walk on the floor for at least 30 minutes without getting damp. The storage is compact and takes up little space. I am very happy with this and would recommend it.

A must have by Shark
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another homerun from Shark. Have been using this for about a week now and it delivers as advertised. So for the basics, set up takes literally a couple of minutes and you're up and running. You can select from different steam settings which is dependent on your floors and of course for any specific tough spots which need steam. This isn't for carpet use for certain. All you need for this is regular water. No chemicals need added. Another big with with the Shark is this the self cleaning brush that picks up dirt or debris while you're also steam cleaning the floor. This cleaner really puts out the steam so be careful not to leave it sit too long on one specific area. I have all vinyl flooring on my first floor so I use it regularly. It's great to have three machines in one. Comes with a more than generous power cord so you are not having to change outlets every 10 feet. Not to mention you dont have to worry about any cloth pads to change or wash which is a huge bonus as washing and buying new pads is now a thing of the past. This comes with a deck if you will to store the machine and also if you ever need to clean the roller beyond regular use, there is a holder for that also on the storage deck. Its slim and sleek design makes this easy to store and takes up very little room. Very impressed and highly recommended!

Where has this been all my life?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to start by saying that I have never used a steam mop before this one. A spot/grout cleaner, yes, but not a larger cleaner. I will never clean my hard floors with anything else. We just bought a house in June of this year (4 months ago) and I had only dry mopped the hard floors on the 1st floor. We have ceramic tile in the entry and guest 1/2 bath and then it's an engineered hardwood everywhere else. The kitchen is always in need of sanitizing and I finally feel like our floors are clean. It did a great job of picking up crumbs and a little bit of pet hair. The instructions do say that if you have an excessive amount of pet hair that you will want to vacuum or sweep it up prior to using this machine. It did really well picking up but I do agree that excess hair or dirt could become problematic. I was also impressed with how quickly this machine heats up and is ready to go. I was able to turn it on and within a minute it was ready to steam clean. It was able to pick up grease, pasta sauce, and even chocolate sauce from the floor in just a few passes. I even went by the dogs food and water bowls and it cleaned everything beautifully. I would and am going to recommend this to friends and family.

Great Shark Steamer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the Shark SteamPickup 3-in-1 Steamer. Assembly the Steamer was easy. You simply connected 3 different parts. The top handle and the lower part that has the roller, and then fill the water tank up to the rim line. There are 3 different levels to this steamer. You can use the lighter setting, the medium setting, or the last setting which does much of a deeper cleaning. I tried all three settings. In my bathroom, kitchen, and hallway. I have linoleum flooring. I was impressed at how the kitchen floor and bathroom floor looked without using bleach. I normally use bleach on my flooring. However, without using the bleach, I didn't have to worry about breathing in chemicals as I do battle with allergies. So this is a nice feature to have. Your able to empty the tank to get the dirty water out. It picked up all the small items that were on the floor. When cleaning there is also a stand you can place the steamer on. Also your able to place the roller on the stand for it to dry, which is nice as well. I would recommend this product.

Does it job!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark SteamPickup has been a joy to use! It has effectively replaced a steam mop, broom, and Swiffer. Setup is dead simple and just requires water. Utilizing the Shark SteamPickup was obviously simple just plug it in and press the button to choose your steam level and wait a couple minutes. It heats up really quick and really gets steaming. You just kinda utilize it like a vacuum cleaner just taking it a bit slower than usual. There is also a light on the front to help visibility and the head has an edge brush on the right side to get along the base boards. The water tank can cover about 200 SQ ft before needing to be refilled on the highest setting. Once done, you just remove the cover, the waste bin and the roller and rinse them out in the sink and let it all dry out overnight and then it is ready to use again. Overall, the Shark SteamPickup is absolutely a great cleaning tool to assist in keeping my home clean. Dead simple to use, clean and maintain. Shark once again has made a great product and will serve my needs for years to come.

A great little mopper!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark SteamPickup 3-in-1 steam, pick-up and sanitize mop does what it says, though it does its mopping/cleaning in a limited area, especially if the mess is pretty extensive. Points regarding the mop: - It requires nothing more than water to clean! The mop has three settings for the heat level -- and no, the steam will not bother your floors -- I have LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) and this mop works great with it. - The mop contains an integrated system at its base that makes cleaning very straightforward. Any dirty water is captured in small capsules that has a floater letting the mop know to turn off if they get full. - There is not a very large fresh water reservoir, so if you are cleaning a heavily-soiled area, you will use a significant amount of water in a specific area. - Overall, the mop is a great tool to use for regular cleaning, as it will successfully pick up debris as well as water and will sanitize the area being cleaned. I definitely recommend that you give this mop a try.

The beauty of this cleaner lies in its simplicity. It uses nothing but steam to lift away grime and bacteria from hard floors, leaving them squeaky clean. No chemicals mean no residues, making it safer for kids to play on freshly cleaned surfaces. The steam also penetrates deeply into the pores of the floor, ensuring a thorough cleanse. For parents, the Shark Steam Pickup is an excellent choice. Chemical-free cleaning means fewer toxins in your home, reducing the risk of allergic reactions or exposure to harmful substances. This leaves your floors not just clean, but also sanitized, again, without the need for harsh chemicals. When it comes to dry debris like dust, crumbs, and pet hair, the cleaner uses its powerful suction to pick up everything in its path. The vacuum feature ensures that all dry debris is collected efficiently, leaving your floors spotless in no time. In my testing, the Shark Steam Pickup performed admirably on both tile and hardwood floors. On tile, the steam function effortlessly lifted grime from the grout lines and left the surface spotless. For hardwood floors, it was equally impressive. The steam cleaned thoroughly without damaging the wood, maintaining the integrity and finish of the floor. It picked up dust, debris, and pet hair with ease, leaving a pristine surface. It's an excellent investment for maintaining a clean, safe home environment, especially if you have children. Cleans great but post-mop cleanup is no fun
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shark did a lot of thing right and a few things wrong in its design of the Shark SteamPickup 3 in 1. The best thing about this steam mop is it takes what used to be a two-step process -- vac and then mop -- and turns it into one. And does them both jobs pretty well. That saves time and energy, something always in short supply in many households. Even better, the SteamPickup adds another bonus. It not only steam cleans your floors but now has a rotating brush to scrub them even cleaner than before, as well as and pick up big messes. It provides the elbow grease, not you. Also, it is surprisingly quiet, light and easy to manuever and has a pair of small headlights to help you see better. And the controls are pretty simple and straightforward, with three steam settings. I found it cleaned quite well, using plain old water, although the vac is not super powerful and therefore is somewhat limited in what it can pick up. Be aware the SteamPickup also leave s a little streakiness behind over when you are done, which is pretty typical of all steam mops. Still, I would count this as a pretty big win for Shark. This is a well-designed device that does exactly what it promises, which is always a good deal for the consumer. That does not mean it is perfect. The downside is what happens after you have finished mopping. There is a rather unpleasant cleaning job that must be done: Pulling apart the power head and getting rid of all that dirty water and waterlogged goopy debris you just removed from your floor. , The power head comes apart easily, at least but I am not sure I agree with Shark about how to best handle the cleanup They suggest you dump the wet soggy debris from the vac into the trash and then just rinse parts in the sink. I am not sure any sink is a good place to dump nasty stuff that used to be on the floor, even it it was allegedly sanitized by steam. And then there is the cleaning brush, which also must be removed and cleaned, which involves your hands getting up close and personal with all that floor gunk. Shark again recommends doing it in the sink. Eh, I dont think so. I took the entire mess outside and cleaned it all with a hose, which seems more appropriate. It's a bit ironic that one of Shark's selling points with the SteamPickup 3 in 1 is you "never have to wash a dirty pad again" -- standard procedure with earlier generation steam mops. That's true. But this job is worse, in my view, since there are more parts that must be cleaned and that process is much more hands on. Fortunately, the SteamPickup comes with water tight stand, that keeps all those parts you just cleaned from dripping all over the floor. And it has a special drying stand for the cleaning brush. Speaking of the brush, (which is self cleaning during steam mopping) Shark recommends you replace it every six months. The cost is unclear since this is a new product. So there is a tradeoff here: A much more capable steam mop that scrubs and vacs in exchange for a more involved cleanup process when you are done. Each consumer must decide if that is worth it given their particular situation.

Nice but might be small if you have larger spaces
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s nice, but could use improvements. Our home is predominately wood and marble tile floors, so this is handy for us. It’s nice not to have to worry about a spotless debris free floor, but given we have pets, I’m still going to run a vacuum over the floor first to get the pet hair. While it doesn’t leave a streaky mess like previous power mops I’ve tried before, it does leave a decent amount of water on the floor. Meaning, I’ve adopting the process of going over it with a microfiber flat mop so it doesn’t spot and to help dry quicker. With said floors and pets, I found that some stains took a little bit of work to remove. No surprise and it advises of these. The motorized head moves across the floor with relative ease and you’re not fighting it pushing or pulling. Pros: - Does well to clean up the floors and older, dryer messes. - Various steam settings. - The roller seems to do a good job as scrubbing without marking floors. - Water reservoir seems to last a good while. Cons: - At 9.5”, this seems painfully narrow for larger rooms. - Leaves a bit too much water on the floor. - The little lights on the head are woefully under powered. Would Like: - Add another 5-10’ of cord. - Other brush head options.
