I was searching for a laptop which can handle multiple workflows, heavy programming tasks and can perform good (no fan noise, good sound, display etc). I researched a lot for non macbook cheap options - Asus s series/zenbook, lenovo legion, hp ultra flip, but when I read reviews of any good laptop there was always something that I was worried about and then I checked macbook reviews. No wonder, macbook took away all the worries. Anyways I was going to buy $1200 worth of laptop so for a peace of mind, I bought this one. And thanks to 20% cashback offer of best buy. Its still the same cost for me on paper. Talking about laptop - its the best, you can read others reviews and YouTube it. But if you are getting it on offer and you are not going to do heavy gaming but just need powerful cpu and gpu for your tasks, go for it.

Talk about fast ! Easily multitask ! Compatable with all bank requirements for a newer operating system ! Fantastic sound with the speakers facing up from the keyboard ! And a nice sharp screen !

Compared to the 16-inch model, this is much more portable and the m4 pro configuration has a lot of power to go with that portability. Port selection is alright if you have moved to USB type c and have a few dongles laying around for the few cases you might need them. Display is alright for general computing and photography work. This is not your "ultimate gaming" display, but it is sufficient. Build quality is excellent as we have come to expect from Apple devices. Battery life is very good for a laptop, no problems there except if you decide to do a lot of heavy work with the browsers (chrome, edge, safari), those seem to be some of the biggest consumers of resources.

I purchased this for my editing as I am a photographer and I am obsessed with it so far. The M4 chip speed is insane! I wish I would’ve gotten it sooner. It has changed the game for me as a photographer.

This is the first MacBook I’ve owned. I purchased an “excellent” condition open box and I couldn’t have been happier. It’s capable of handling what I need it to and is very visually pleasing. Battery life isn’t bad, although I try to have it plugged in while doing more strenuous things. Overall it’s a very solid product.
