Its an amazing system, I know it will last me as long as the last one did and even longer I think.

Not justifiable upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously owned a Macbook Air 15” M3 24gb 512, and was in between upgrading to the next gen Macbook Air or upgrading to a better processor which was priced 1k higher. As a photographer/videographer I had hope the upgraded processor would mean much smoother editing when using AI and speed up my work flow which did not impress and left me with an unjustifiable expense. I gained a few seconds when exporting videos, not noticeable improvement when exporting high volume photos or using AI. As a fact it actually thinks a bit too much for some simple AI generation - feels the same as my previous Mac. Although it’s slightly better for very high volume editing, it’s not even close to be smooth or fast enough to justify the price difference. I’ve lost the benefit of a bigger screen and lighter, more portable device and still find it struggling sometimes to process some projects. On paper the settings were way better than the real life experience and I do regret my choice. My advice is that if by any reason making such upgrade will tighten your budget, don’t do it, try to get a real feel and real reviews of how it performs in tasks similar to the ones you perform so you don’t end up in the same scenario as before but 1k less on the bank. Not saying it’s a bad machine, if the budget us high and the price means nothing to you you will probably be fine, but it won’t be a considerable upgrade. The speakers are definitely better but in real life professionals will have specific headphones for the type of work they do so once again, a unjustifiable upgrade.

Trade-in could be easier

Easy to migrate from my older MacBook. Trade-in was a little difficult because you have to trade-in the old machine when you pickup the new one, so no time to do a direct transfer. I had to buy an external drive, backup the old machine, and then take it in to get the new one.
