Some features do not seem to react the same, but that me be my understanding of the new unit. On occasion I have had some problem with the screen freezing that I never had before with the Surface. I'm unsure why the touchpad needs to be larger and at a different location. Even though the processor is faster I cannot see any difference in dailey use. I am hoping I will grow into it as time and usage continures. It was a great deal at BestBuy and overall I am satisfied.

Regarding the touchscreen issue you mentioned, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, apply all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well.
If after the available updates are applied and the system restarts, yet the issue persists, in-depth troubleshooting will be necessary to fix the problem. We recommend contacting Lenovo Support here: 877-453-6686, for further assistance.
Also, we wish to share that the touchpad size is designed to improve ease of use with gestures and navigation, and the placement is intentional, with the touchpad centered to the keyboard versus the laptop to aid in reachability when navigating to typing.

4K touchscreen

Disappointed that the screen is 2K and not 4K. This feature was certainly glossed over by sales staff even though many questions were asked about video quality and comparisons with my Lenovo idea Pad 14" screen. However, this was expected as some of the staff are incompetent in their knowledge of the product. I had to get another sales person to help me as he was more knowledgeable. Since then, I've noticed the original sales person working in appliances and TV's and, as I watched, was totally unqualified. I've come to expect this from Best Buy, but they had the product selection I needed.

It is working out very well. It is fast has lots of storage. My son is using it for summer session in college. As a finance major, he likes the additional numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard. Also, the screen size is excellent for streaming movies. A bonus for me and my son is the keypad is a nice size for people with big hands or fat fingers.

First, sleep mode would not work properly. If I set it to NEVER, the screen never went into sleep mode, but if I set it to any other time, the screen would go into sleep mode after 3 minutes. Also, at one point the computer suddenly wouldn't connect to my mouse even though I had got it connected the day before. The Geek Squad reinstalled the software and the sleep mode has been resolved, for which I am very grateful. I hope these issues aren't a precursor of more problems to come.
