Had a programmable remote that came with the install of my home theater. After 10 years I needed to update some components and I didn't want to pay a service fee to have a technician come out to update my remote. After researching this came up as the best in terms of functionality and value. I fully agree. Set up on line was so easy: just need to know what components you have and how they are connected to the TV. Very intuitive and with one button I turn on everything I need for what I want to do (watch Live TV, DVD, Roku, etc.). Making changes to update the remote takes little time and I can even customize the buttons to control components while using the remote. Couldn't be happier.

The remote was so easy to set up - in fact, it took longer to locate the model information for my devices than it took to set up the remote itself. Once I had setup my Harmony account, registered my remote and programmed the various buttons to do what I needed them to do, usage was easy. And when I had issues, there was on-screen help to help me fix the issue. The on-screen help is not very detailed, but it asks you simple yes/no questions that help in dealing with whatever issue you may have, and the issue is usually fixed within a few clicks. I'm wondering how I ever survived with 4 separate remotes before. The fact that I got this brand new at half price makes this even more worth it for me. If you're thinking about getting this remote, do it: you won't regret it! :-)

Bought this to replace a harmony 550 that we've had for the past 5 yrs. Really liked it but ran into issues where it the rubberized backing was difficult to clean and became sticky. This was a welcome replacement and is even easier to use. Buttons are simpler and more intuitive. Got a fair deal at best buy. Would definitely recommend.b

I did get the 1st one a few years ago, stopped working( maybe 4 years old...) then the one I bought a week or so ago didn't work off the bat. Lights up but some buttons didn't work, but they were great to exchange with the same since it was 2 days from purchase
