    Geek Squad unable to live up to protection plan

    Paid extra for the 2-year Accidental Geek Squad Protection, but when I took my damaged phone to them the Geek Squad representative said they were unable to repair Google Pixel 6 Pro phones. Only option was to replace the phone, but that would cost a $199 replacement fee. Best Buy is selling $200+ Geek Squad protection plans for phones knowing they can't fix them and that you'll just end up paying the extra money on top of the plan when you desperately need a working phone. Geek Squad either needs to learn to fix Google phones or Best Buy should stop selling protection plans when they can't honor them. Please don't buy the additional protection coverage for phones they don't work on or can't fix!

    My dad was turned away from 3 different best buy's because they said he did not have geek squad. They did not look up the phone number or account or even ask his name. I called Geek Squad customer service and set up and appointment with them over the phone where they ASSURED me that he in fact had it, and the issues should be 100% covered and they do not know why he was turned away. He drove over an hour to the appointment to be turned away again. 7 phone calls later and he was still unable to get assistance. Between the both of us, we spent countless hours trying to get his phone taken care of and were met with no result and ended up having to pay a third party to make the repair.

    Sometimes the problem with my phone can't be readily fixed and requires a refurbished trade off from some third party. Definitely sucks.

    Hidden fees in Google Pixel 3a

    When I bought this plan, I didn't know my crummy Google Pixel 3a had a charge with it to replace it. I should have stuck to a Samsung phone.

    Needed to get my Samsung 65" TV looked at by member of Geek Squad but they informed me they don't work on tvs greater than 40" in house.

    Last geek squad protection I buy. Spent $1200 for new phone. Plus $200-300 for the protection. I only got $700+ store credit when my phone stopped working. Geek squad said they're were unable to fix it or replace it. At least I got some money back IG...

    Don’t waste your money on a Greeks Squad extended warranty! I’ve bought a Google Pixel 4 XL for $700 + $200 extended warranty. After a year the Google Pixel phone stop working and I had to pay $200 to get a replacement phone. Greeks Squad send me two phone that did not work on arriveble. The third replacement Google Pixel phone worked for another 45 days and store management will not replace it unless I pay another $200 deductible. Know the facts before you buy at Best Buy; Greeks Squad only guarantee a replacement phone for 30 days after delivery and they will send you Trash.

    Makes sense to get but still gotta pay a pretty expensive deductable after buying warranty. If ur not good with your cell get it, like I did.

    Its ok but at the price of the items purchased it shouldn't be needed. BB doesn't seem to have much faith in what they're selling, why?

    Geek Squad sucks. They are so rude. When I took My Galaxy Fold in for repair they said to contact Samsung as it was still under warranty. Ok, no biggie. But then they said bc Samsung had already replaced it once and upgraded me to the Z Fold 3 it was no longer covered under my Geek Squad insurance plan....It's not my fault Samsung is awesome and upgraded me. So my Protection plan was useless because of this.

    Never buy a geek squad plan, if you most do squaretrade or someone else. They will make you go through a endless loop to get a simple phone replacement. The store first screwed up my replacement application by not having me pay at store. I then had to drive 60 miles back to redo the order, The manager did give me 50$ of the 199 fee for my trouble, but at last they messed it up again by not creating a new work order. This has been a on going issue since April 13 to now. I am going back yet again to get this resolved. I cannot understand a company that has the most backswords system that makes a customer have to go into a store to do a simple online forum, since the phone will be mailed to you and you mail back your old one.... This is a outdated process that no one should be still doing in this day in age.
