    Plan is garbage. Doesn't help with problems that come up. Under 2 years of the plan and doesn't cover problem with the phone. Paid $137.14 and then a fee of $116.48 so ended up paying more than the phone with the "coverage" and fee. No physical damage to the phone, but because of a problem with the phone not connecting to the sim card.

    The phone we purchased this plan for was whatever G band At&t phased out just after a couple months with the phone. Best buy said too bad and we had to purchase an entirely new phone (from a store that ends in mart) ! Although we did not know until later, all suppling store knew At&t was doing the phase out, but sold these phones knowing they would be obsolete soon. So the phone and the plan was a waste this time :(

    The rules to get a return, repair, or exchange are not helpful. You will have a hard time getting a replacement or getting the value of your purchase. The protection plan is just money out of pocket.

    It is a good service for me because I have personal and business computers. I am not tech Savvy so it is the first place that I go to find solutions for my tech issues.

    After Purchasing a phone for my son after he broke his I figured it was best to purchase a protection plan as well. Its great to have peace of mind.

    This service helped me SO much when my laptop was destroyed in a fall. Being legally blind I have a LOT of tech accidents and repairs are needed often. The GS team member who took my computer at the desk was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I didn't have to wait long to get it back and it was almost totaled so that's saying a lot. The work they did on it was great. It looked brand new. Accidents happen to everyone, so you can't go wrong with a team just waiting to make it better.

    Bought this phone with the purpose to have a second line for when I travel abroad and I need to buy a local SIM card for the phone that I can use in the country I a visiting at the moment. This particular phone I used it in Cuba on my last trip and they have 4G services capability but the phone even though said that will be able to provide 3g with no problem it was not good and all I got was 2g. I did used it. Was slow but on this trip all I needed was to call and text and I was able to do that without an issue. I did missed the fast internet and able to have multiple things open.

    I bought a new phone because mine was running terrible.I thought i was doing something wrong because my new one wasnt working right.Tjank goodnes i had this protection plan,went into the store and assessed the problem and they decided to switch my info to another phone.They held up to there end with no hassles

    For me (sometimes accident prone) a MUST HAVE

    I would recommend this for any item over $100, and any cell phone or computer (especially laptops). The thing to remember is, though: depending on how long ago the purchase date was, you may not be able to get the same as what you originally paid. If your item is not discontinued, they will just do a item for item trade. Otherwise, you will get the value that they have for your item in their computer in the form of a Best Buy Store Credit similar to the gift card. I like that, because you can do what I did, and pick out what you want, either in store, or online, and just pay the difference, if any.

    I bought this as a replacement of my broken Google Pixel 5a. This phone is affordable and easy to get used to as a Pixel user. I like its thin shape although the screen is much larger than I need. If a smaller model is available, it would be perfect.

    The Geek Squad warranty is amazing it can come in handy like situations when my phone was overheating and I took it in there and they threw it in water because it was the time when the phones were exploding it was exceeding the temperature was so high we had no choice and then they replace my phone immediately

    First time using my geek squad guarantee on a phone. My screen had a 'hairline" crack and there was a broken area where the phone impacted when it fell. The phone works perfectly fine, half the screen is not working nor responding to touch at all. I expected them to change my screen. Went to the desk at my local BestBuy, the rep looked at my phone, processed the guarantee, and told me I would receive a replacement, that normally ships in two days. I was ok with that. My replacement did not ship in two days, It actually arrived at my home in less than 48 hours. It is a refurb phone that appears in perfect condition. Awesome service, it was fast, and the rep was super nice. Certainly worth it.

    I don't think my son has ever owned a phone that didn't eventually end up with a cracked screen, so this time when I replaced the phone I bought a 1 year protection plan. I figured if he damaged it after that he was on his own. Turns out it lasted about 6 months. Geek squad gave me no problem. They ordered a replacement which included a shipping label and pouch for returning the broken phone once the replacement was received. Of course there was a copay of about $50 but that was far less than the cost of replacing the phone itself.

    It gives me great peace of mind knowing I have this protection in case of accidents. The activation process was quick and straightforward. Fortunately, I haven't had to use it yet, but I know Geek Squad has a good reputation for its service. It's a good investment to protect your device.

    I have now had the phone close to 2 years and I have been very happy with it. I wanted a small but powerful phone and it was perfect. So if you want a big screen phone that is hard to fit in your pocket then look at other models. But I love the size. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect 5 stars is because after having it around a year i noticed the battery life going down. Keep in mind that i use my phone alot. But nevertheless, the battery is becoming an issue. So much so that I am thinking of contacting Best Buy because I paid for the extra warranty and that wasn't cheap. But I still think it is a great, quality made phone.
