Outstanding. I was hesitant to buy a MacBook at first because I needed to run SolidWorks, but with Parallels, it actually performs better than the average Windows laptop.

I bought my first MacBook about 15 years for personal use. I did use a PC for business and found myself using the PC more than the Mac. Now that I am retired, I decided to purchase the MacBook and I am delighted with it. I am still working out some of its nuances, but over all it is a pleasure to work with. I especially like the security and the was of use. I should have upgraded the hard drive butI do use the cloud to store my documents and pictures.

The performance is insane. I can have 47 tabs open, Spotify playing, a 4K video exporting, and still feel judged silently by no fan sound. It doesn’t overheat it just whispers disappointment when I make poor financial decisions. The keyboard is buttery smooth. Every keystroke sounds like Apple personally approves of what I’m typing even when it’s just “google.com” for the 14th time today. Overpriced? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. Apple wins.

This MacBook Pro M5 has honestly been a great upgrade. It’s super fast — apps open right away and I can bounce between tasks without any slowdown. Great machine, but that wasn't really a surprise. Got it for a great price! Haven't heard the fan come on yet, but I haven't done anything terribly intensive yet. The screen is very nice and brighter than my MBA. It's super snappy in basic operations, boots quickly, and recovers from sleeping instantly. As with the Pro line, the speakers are a giant leap over the MBA, music and videos have a much deeper sound. In 2 weeks of using it a couple hours a day, I've charged it one time. Very satisfied.

I’m coming from a 2015 MB Pro. The hardware was fine, but software updates stopped in 2024 which brought me to Beat Buy for a new computer. Everything about this is awesome. It’s incredibly fast and the M5 chip makes this future proof for another 10 years. Previous PCs only last 3-4 years, had significant bloatware, had software errors, and customization I didn’t need/use. This product is high end, secure, is easy to use and just works when you use it. Pro all the way!

The overall purchase experience was disappointing at first. I was standing in line when an employee asked if I had a pickup. After I confirmed that I did, he pulled me out of the queue. However, once he noticed that I also had a trade-in, he sent me back to the line instead of assisting me or directing me properly. Later, Maya stepped in and completely turned the experience around. She was professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She even asked why I had waited in line despite having a pickup, and I explained what had happened earlier. Her concern and willingness to help made a significant difference. While I understand it was a busy Black Friday weekend, it was frustrating to see several other employees standing around and not actively helping customers. In contrast, Maya appeared overworked but remained positive, efficient, and customer-focused throughout. Maya truly went above and beyond and deserves recognition—and honestly, a promotion. She was the reason this experience ended on a positive note.

Works well, as expected. Out of the box, the power cord was defective (flashing orange light and wouldn't charge battery), but Best Buy Geek Squad helped me obtain a replacement quickly. I had a 16-inch MacBook Pro previously that had a touch bar, and I miss the touch bar, but other than that, no problems. It was far less expensive than the newest 16-inch.

Purchased this during the Black Friday sale. First time owning a MacBook, and I love it. Battery will last for a couple days. I use this for casual internet searching and work. So far this has exceeded my expectations. My old laptop was windows and this is my first time using apple as a computer. I have an iPhone which works great for mirroring and getting text messages that come through my laptop.

I absolutely love this new computer!! It is fast, the battery lasts forever, the picture is fabulous and this upgrade gave me so many new features and technology updates to explore and use. Old MacBook Air not the dust and just happened during the new M5 release. Absolutely love this MacBook. It’s been a while since i owned one in college and it was the upgraded I never understood I needed. I don’t need extremely advanced uses, so could get away with an Air. But I can tell you spend slightly more on a product that is going to last for much longer. Every MacBook I’ve owned lasts for 8 years minimum with daily use. My air bit the dust after 4 years.
