I was unhappy that Google stopped servicing their older Chromebooks. I was an original purchaser when they first emerged in , as I recall, about 2011. However, I did decide to upgrade to a newer model. This one offered a lot of bang for the buck. The SD memory slot will take 64 gig, 128 gig, and/or 256 gig and this supplements the 32 gig on the computer itself. The quality of "casting" to Chromecast TV is unbelievably clear & good. The computer is fast and better still, when I close the lid and reopen my work or pending research is still there. I can print anything I want to archive to .pdf format. The VERY BEST FEATURE is the BATTERY LIFE. Far, far longer than you would guess -- 9 to 14 hours in my usage.

I bought one for each of my grandkids in elementary school. It was amazing how quickly they adapted to using the Chromebook. The touch screen made it easy to navigate as they are use to touch from their iPads. Parental controls work great. It is just the right size for them. Don't necessarily like the plastic body, but the price was great for a touch screen Chromebook.

    1. The finger pad is hard to use because the scroll does not work very well at all. Lucky we already had a wireless mouse for it. 2. Trying to get a printer to connect or set up is not a very easy process. First we were told that the laptop was compatible with any wireless printer. This was not the case and we had to go back to Bestbuy to purchase a new printer. When trying to install the new HP printer on our HP chromebook a window popped up stating that it was not compatible with the laptop so after much searching and reading I was finally able to, after few hours, sync the printer and was able to get the printer to print off of a wireless command. It floors me that a hp printer and a hp laptop still has difficulty being compatible with each other. Might want to give your employees a little more training on what your products are capable of doing before they send people home with false hopes.

The HP Chromebook 14 has a slimmer design with a mat texture, which helps us get more in the school bag. The mat finish helps with a better grip. micro SD slot, 2 USB slots, Bluetooth, 1/8th inch headphone port, TOUCH SCREEN, and I really love that there are charge ports on both sides of the unit! Uses the newest micro usb charge system to be the new standard, Which means faster charging. We have easily gone 2 and 3 full school days and homework nights on 1 charge, wow! Built in mouse pad is HP's time tested and crazy sensitive awesomeness! If i was to make any improvements, I wish the keys were back lit, but that's rare to come by when talking long battery life. Definitely didn't break the bank on this one. Would buy it again.

Great computer for my nieces who are studying home because of Covid. I was so impress with how fast it is (I'm just surfing online, but hey works great for the spec's). I convinced my mom to buy another one for her. She's 72 yrs old. The touchscreen will make her learning experience easy.

Got this on sale around Christmas and it was a great deal! Didn’t even realize it was touchscreen until we opened it. Got one for each of my kids, and we are very happy with them. Does everything we need for school as well as home, and overall just an awesome laptop for the price.

I got this Chromebook during my senior year of high school with no previous knowledge about computer operating systems. In high school, Chromebooks were readily used, so I had no issues with this Chromebook during high school. However, during my first year of my engineering career at my University, I realized that professors readily used windows and Linux programs for assignments such as a python or Matlab assignment. I coped by using the Linux terminal on this Chromebook and the Chromebook web store version of Matlab. It is an overall great product. It is very sturdy, trust me I am very clumsy, and one of the easiest laptops to use for students in elementary school through high school. After that, it may be uncomfortable to use as professors and the overall university lean towards Windows and Linux operating systems.

Bought this with the intent to use for school. Has worked out well for its purpose. The touchscreen is very nice for school work, reading ebooks is easier when you can scroll through the pages with your finger. Good purchase if you need something simple.

Bought this for my 7 year old to use for virtual school. Perfect for him and easy to use. Feels sturdier than other chromebooks which I like. Resolution isn’t the best, but for the price it is great. Recommend this for any family or student needing something simple for hone or school.

I purchased this for my son for remote learning. It's very well built and has good performance. The touch screen is very responsive and a great feature for a laptop I. This price range. Battery life is ample for what he uses it for. I would definitely recommend this laptop.

First purchase of a Chromebook and I couldn't be happier. Fast set-up, screen is perfect size, decent sound, and absolutely love the Chrome OS. Opens tab after tab quickly, no slowdown no matter what I have thrown at it. Only downside so far would be the lackluster display, it appears a bit washed out. Overall would highly recommend.

This is my 1st chromebook and it takes so it some getting used to as everything is done with apps. I'm not used to that at all and con't really like it. I do like having the touch screen though. It is very lightweight and holds a charge all day - which I really like.

I bought this computer/chromebook for distance learning for my first grader. We only did two days before I withdrew her from school, but the computer functioned great in Google Classroom, Gmail, Adventure Academy etc... my daughter also used it for Disney+ and it worked really well. There were a few apps that wouldn't work on it, but overall it works great. We're homeschooling now and it's still great. We combined this laptop with a hard shell cover, keyboard dust cover and wireless mouse. It was easy to set up and all the extras. The OS is so much easier than windows for the kids. I almost want to buy one for myself.
