this will be the last time i ever order with best buy everything i have purchased from them has completely stopped working in less than a month this laptop went completely dead in less than a month then im told its not returnable the phone number provided to me THREE times was jwrong everytime ! im disgusted

this laptop not too bad if it doesn't restart periodically.

I bought this for my 8-year old son, strictly for distance learning. After a week of using, the screen started to flicker then it stopped working altogether—it wouldn’t turn on or charge. Thankfully Best Buy granted a store credit as it was within the return time frame.

Bought it for the sole purpose of using it for grad school, but I could not even log into the site to access my assignments (Canvas) without it completely crashing and shutting down every time. Returned it the next day and hoping the new one I purchased of a different brand is better.

Couldn't do what I wanted to do. So I returned it.

Just purchased a few months ago and having issues. Laptop just turns completely off in the middle of typing…battery is fully charged. I have never overcharged the laptop or left it on the charger for long periods of time. I barely use it and now this!!

PIECE OF JUNK. The camera stopped working 1 month and 10 days after i bought it, which as you probably missed the return period by 10 days. Now i'm stuck with a computer that i bought for my kid's zoom classes that i can no longer return. HP support is also garbage. Do yourself a favor and spend a few more dollars and buy a PC.

We got an open box, so I'm guessing that is our issue. For some reason it updates all the time and then we must log back in everytime we use it. Need to take it back to see what's wrong.

PURCHASED ONLINE HOME DELIVERED. WAS NOT AWARE THAT IT WAS SO DIFFERENT! RETURNED TO STORE AFTER A FEW DAYS! CHROMEBOOK FORMAT WAS NOT FOR ME. THE NONE "QWERTY" KEY BOARD FORMAT, MISSING "CAP LOCK" & "DELETE" KEYS WAS VERY FRUSTRATING. IS NOT MICROSOFT COMPATIBLE INCLUDING OFFICE SOFTWARE & OPEN OFFICE CAN NOT BE USED. ADDITIONALLY I SPENT HOURS ON PHONE WITH "CUSTOMER SERVICE?" TRYING TO CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE & WOULD NOT LET ME TALK TO SOMEONE WHO MIGHT HAVE KNOWN THE TRUTH. GEEK SQUAD AT RETURNED STORE LOCATION KNEW IT.

Terrible! Kept shutting down or just going dark for no reason! Went to various sites and deleted extensions, etc., -- all the things suggested by the experts, but nothing worked. I think the unit may be defective. Super frustrating!

I purchased this for my sons birthday. So by the time he got it the 2 week return was already up. I guess I should have checked more into what a chrome book versus other laptops could do. He can’t use it for what he needs so I purchased another and I just took the chrome book for myself to watch tv and stuff on because that is all it really can do. Less than 48 hours after the box was opened a button the letter b had popped off. Just trash and a waste of money. Just done with it. Best buys return policy sucks

Product is terrible I should have gotten a warranty, it gets super hot after about 30 minutes and it shuts off out of nowhere at any moment and Im a grad school student it has shut off during a test before I dont even think I can send it back, for surely a faulty product no wonder it was the price it was I will never buy anything from here again

Haven’t even had it a year I keep it at home only use it for Netflix Facebook Hulu and while watching a movie it froze up and never came back on

When I bought this I didn't understand what a chromebook was until I returned it and the Geek squad explained the difference. I traded it in for a real laptom

Died 2 weeks after return window. Working fine in the morning, closed lid, came back in afternoon, it was scorching hot. surprised it didn't catch on fire. Obviously under that much heat it was dead inside and out. Put it outside just in case it did catch fire. HP does not support this device even though it has a 1 yr warranty. You cannot get any warranty support from them.

Would have been a 5 star review but after 1.5 years of ownership, screen suddenly started to flicker and fade, and then a couple days later is completely dead and will not start. Bricked just 6 months past teh warranty. That is absolutely unnaceptable

We bought this for my child to be able to do distance learning and it’s been nothing but headaches. Half the time it won’t even turn on. We set passwords to get into accounts but it never remembers them. It lets you in after 3 times but you have to do the entire login (then I have to as a parent) every time. I’ve owned multiple laptops and tablets and didn’t think a Chromebook would be that different. But it’s a piece of junk. Don’t waste your money.

Have had many problems with unit since the 30 day return date. I was ensured by sales person that the Chromebook would be able to handle my only needs for using email, facebook and candy crush game. I can now only access email without issues of the unit continuously freezing and refusing to download or open files. The sound was static and now periodically stops working.I can not shut down the unit without holding 'off' button for 10 seconds. Slow and sluggish, still freezing when trying to open files in email, would not recommend to anyone.

Had unit for about 1 year when screen went. Would not recommend touch screen. Otherwise had no prob with unit.

I bought this computer for my 6 year old. I have had it for almost 2 months and the keys on the keyboard has stopped working. This is the second time I purchase this computer in less than 6 months. The first time it was the same issue. However, since my daughter dropped it, I thought it was due to it being dropped. At this point, I’m thinking probably not.
