15.6" hp perfect home laptop perfect size memory and perfomance

I just blew the last 24 hours trying to get this laptop optimized for general use. I don't game. My expectations were to be able to receive email and to surf web pages. I anticipated I would probably need to upgrade the 4MB ram to 8 or 16, but, I'm not sure anything can help this beast. Occasionally it will dip to a reasonable CPU, but in general it sits about 85%+ when any explorer is launched. Even after uninstalling just about every process that eats CPU, memory and disk, it's still unusable and slow. Perhaps this product is best suited for someone who rarely connects to the internet such as a poet or someone's grandma looking for a better display for playing baccarat. I'm holding out hope that perhaps it was dropped at some point while being delivered to the store and there is inherently an issue with the hardware, but I'm not taking my risk on another "deal" - when I croak I will remember how I could have had an extra day of my life back if not for this laptop.

Was needing a good entry level laptop for light use - bills, web-surfing, etc. This has worked quite well for those needs.

So sadly I had to return this laptop due to financial issues but i can tell that it would of been great to use!

This is probably one of the best laptops I have ever own! Very sleek design, and light weight. Screen resolution is friendly to the eyes.

I purchased laptop for work, to access internet and some word processing. It is capable and gets the job done. Nothing fancy but usable.

The laptop has decent processing and is effective. It works well in the college rec area, connection is solid and the board is smooth

Easy to set up and easy to use. I have had problems finding basic programs/settings I'd like to use, but overall a great laptop!

So far no issues with the battery life or anything, i dont use it at much as i thought i would be but that should be changing soon
