Processor is too slow for todays content - had to replace due to productivity expectations - would not recommend for todays work loads

Cheap and quality laptop for the older generation.

Bought two of these laptops one week ago and DVD Drive does not work on either laptop. Found on the hp site they are fully aware of this issue with all new laptops sold recently with Windows 10. Yet still sold at Best Buy anyway! Have tried fixing with reinstall etc nothing works. Hp cannot be reached by phone. This laptop is also very slow and constantly updating with its own software junk. Will be returning both. What a waste of time and money. I never write reviews and am compelled to share this with others save hassle buy something else. A. Hate windows 10 B. The keyboard is off somehow makes typing frustrating. Also has a mind of its own when operating goes to something you didn't touch , does not shut off, JUST FRUSTRATING!

I bought this laptop and I had problem with the laptop I had blue screen comes on and with bar code and with issue that needs to be fixed and the computer restarts and the same thing happens after it restarts the blue screen comes on with bar code, I had to take it back and get another one and same thing happened so I would avoid buying this laptop I know it's cheap but don't go for the price go for quality not the price.

I am shocked at how good this laptop is. I actually chose this over a MacBook because I didn’t want to spend over $1000 on a computer. This computer is so good, the speed, the sound, Netflix looks really good, my browsing and the screen is pretty big. Thank you so much for making it so cheap, I truly appreciate it!

Laptop is loud, freezes, includes nothing but bloatware and is unable to even function! I tried reseting the laptop to clear everything and now I can not even load the laptop up. Do not purchase!

This laptop is $239.99 for a reason. It's garbage. Got it for my mom to simply browse the web but could barely do that. Hard drive stays slammed at 100% almost full time and the cpu maxes out from simply opening a new window. Purchased a decent SSD on sale for $60 but couldn't copy the old hard drive to the new SDD, kept getting errors, and why are there 5 partitions on this thing?! Ended up installing a fresh copy of windows 10. So after $60 and however many hours its gone from paperweight to barely usable. Still randomly has a lag time, especially noticeable when typing and your 10 keystrokes farther ahead than the actual computer. I definitely cannot recommend this laptop.

I bought this laptop for $279.99 for about 2 months now. It was fine during the first month of using it. As it nears the second month, it keeps dying on me. This would happen every 3-4 times per day. It is very irritating. Yesterday, I took the laptop to BEST BUY for a trade in estimate and they said that it is worth $65. I was upset. I wish i would have bought a different brand of laptop. Please dont buy this brand no more. Look for something else. I am not happy about this new laptop.I will never buy this kind of laptop no more.

Had it for 5 years and played alot of games on it. It held up very well

Despite the fact that I have almost no files on the hard drive, this laptop has been slow and freezes frequently since it was brand new. I deleted Google Chrome and that helped a bit. but MS Edge has it's own problems. I have a Chromebook that I use for most of my needs and really only use this one for printing large documents for work. I have security software installed. After 14 months. the hard drive failed (Short DST error).

So slow, just cut off on me for no reason. $300 down the drain. I've had it for 18 days. The letters on the keyboard are already fading. Junk.

This is just trash. It's been stuck on loop, installing restarting for 7+ hours. Couldn't even use it after less than a day. Do yourself a favor and invest in something else.

I bought this computer to try out the new AC wireless protocol. All reviews say it is 3 times faster than the N protocol. Tried for hours to get the laptop to connect to wireless AC Router with no success. Gave up til the next day and still wouldn't work. Called HP Support and they told me the laptop is a single N band wireless not an AC protocol. Of course I argued with him since Best Buy advertised it as an AC wireless device. Turns out HP was right and Best Buy is advertising this product and other HP laptops incorrectly. I found this out when I returned the laptop to the Best Buy store. Buyer BEWARE!

I bought this laptop for my mom for christmas last year at the Best Buy Northlake store with a 1 year warranty,the battery went dead and I brought to the Best Buy at Southlake store,I brought the laptop with the original box to be service and Geek Squad repair the laptop and it was ship by UPS to my house without the original box,I purchase the laptop brand new,not an open box item,I will never ever shop at Best Buy again period for doing that to me.

Price jumped $20 in 2 days (of course it jumped before I could purchase it). Less than a week after purchase it started rebooting for no apparent reason. After a few days of that I took it in to the geek squad, they installed some very needed updates. Three hours later, I took my laptop home. It was fine for a few days, then it started again. I would on it doing something and it would reboot without warning. I tweeked all the settings I knew how to, making it ask for permission to install updates, to reboot, etc, still did it. I wound returning it.

super slow do not reccomend, you get what you pay for.

This is the worst laptop I have ever owned. When typing the cursor jumps all around, sometime back to the front of the sentence I was typing, Typing my name (5 letters) it will type the first 2 and then it hesitates for 10 seconds before it completes the other 3 letters. It is very slow. HP support could not help. I would not recommend this laptop to my worst enemy. I had a 10 year old dell that worked better than this.

To my surprise when i opened the box, charged it for an hour, try ON... laptop doesn't turn ON, Laptop screen backlight is dead. Returned it back. BEWARE!!
