When I bought this laptop the ad said it had a backlit keyboard. I made three phone calls to best buy and the sales person told me what to do to get the light on.( three different sales people, three different answers). Finally I called an HP representative and they said that model did not have a backlit keyboard. The ad has the wrong specs. I wasn't too happy. I bought the laptop for my grandson and he wanted a lighted backboard. He decided to keep it anyway because he had it all setup.

This laptop has so far been very useful. The keyboard is the only part I do not like. The keys are spaced too far apart and there is not enough of a depression when pressed. Otherwise it functions great! Tons of storage!

Said it had backlit key board but it does NOT so I returned it ! The computer itself was just fine but I really wanted a backlit keyboard.

Saw some negative reviews of this machine, but there were very few reviews. Complaints ranged from speed of processor to download time of the Windows 10 update. Found none of those issues. RAM and hard-drive were overkill, but for the price, what the? A lesser drive would have cost more. It's blazing fast, from what I'm ised to. Keyboard is difficult to see due to key size, which is the only real negative I have. Machine is solid, light, and with the large screen, enjoyable to use. I agree with the complaints about Windows 10, but that really isn't an option. Time will help, hopefully. At this price, I feel it was well worth the time it took for us to buy it.. Not doing a photo because they use a generic photo for all in this series.

Ordered this laptop because it’s advertised to have a backlit keyboard because I will mostly be using it in a dim area. This is NOT the case. The startup is slow, and loading speeds aren’t the best. Mostly made of plastic and feels a cheap. I will be returning this as soon as possible.

This is my first laptop and I'm very satisfied. The only drawback is I didn't realize to look for one where the keys light up. But that's my fault.

Its a great computer worked really well until I went to class today and came back and had a crack screen. I did not drop it, step on it, set it down hard, hit it on anything so in all honesty I have no idea how this happened. Cheaply made is all I can figure out. I had an Asus before this and dropped it from a lofted bed multiple times onto hard wood floors and nothing like this ever happened. Maybe I got a faulty one but I wouldn't take any chances. It was also not covered in the warranty because it is a physical property and is considered an accident, even though, I honestly have no idea how it happened. So I've had it less than a month paid 420 dollars for it and to get it fixed it'll cost me 360 dollars. TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT. I REPEAT. DO NOT BY THIS.
