Horrible horrible service!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I dropped my car off for subs and amp install only to be called 2 1/2 hours later for the woman to tell me she refused to do my install. She claimed the amp was too powerful for the subs and could overheat and start a fire. This of course was a total lie. If anything the amp I had was not powerful enough for the subs. This woman was retaliating because I complained about another geek squad employee a few weeks prior who said he had to reschedule my appointment because he didn’t have the 4 gauge wiring kit. I took the day off of work and use my pto only to be canceled on for no reason. Michelle had been in contact with this guy Ben from the Eagan location and she was doing this for retaliation. Go to a custom shop do not use geek squad!

Gel squad Hooked my car UP

Annoyingly, after getting my vehicle back the keyless entry did not work and a message to service keyless system error is displayed every time the vehicle is started. They are planning on looking into the issue and correcting it at time of installation.

Poor Installation with No Immediate Remedy Offered
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible installation. I checked in before my appointment at 1:55pm for a 2pm appointment. The team adjusted my order to save me $50, which was appreciated. I was informed that the install would take 2-2.5 hours. I returned in 2.5 hours and I watched the installer step on my vinyl interior pieces outside the car as he attempted to reinstall another vinyl interior piece. After 3 hours, I drove away. They did not do a demonstration and told me the "signal was weak". Upon driving away, I barely notice any bass distinction within my music. They should have offered me some alternative to fix it yesterday, whether I purchased a new receiver or some other alternative. They mentioned that Sony receivers exhibit low power to bass sometimes, so I looked at a Pioneer online and now they're booked out to late April for installation...I have to wait a month to fix a problem created yesterday. I'm very disappointed and unsatisfied.

Would do differently if could
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a amp/subwoofer combo installed that was advertised to go under the seat in the main cabin. Installer took upon themselves to install in the the trunk. Having had previous experience as an installer I know that a amp/subwoofer that size would not be beneficial in a car that size. Also subwoofers should not be installed pointing upwards. All the sound is in the trunk and minimum sound makes it in the cabin of the car. Also the installer did not connect the remote switch so the amp stays on continuously. Only benefit that I have was with the amp install kit I have the wires ran already and can change it myself because I don't trust for them to do it correctly. Finally had an aux cable in my car that I use always and know it was in the car when I dropped it off cause I used it. When I picked up the car it was missing and they insisted they didn't remove it. They did not even offer me a new one but instead made me buy a new one one myself.

Mixed feelings I guess..

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My amp came with a remote for bass and I didn't realize until today, 2 months later it wasn't installed and im not sure why. Also wasn't a fan of not being asked where I wanted it installed, I later discovered others with like vehicles have their amps installed behind the seat not under due to risk of spills. It seated in there REAL pretty though!

Unfinished with damage!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upon leaving the installation garage I noticed that the sub didn't seem to be working and when I got home and inspected it I noticed that the power was not installed for the amp to power the sub. Then about a few weeks after the installation the sub fell from were it was mounted and when I looked at the mounting I found that they used screws that were not compatible with were the amp was installed in with my amp, some of the screws were far to big and did cosmetic damage to my brand new amp that can not be fixed, and I had to remount the amp with the correct hardware for the job!! We also found a screw that they left in the subwoofer, where if we hadn't seen it it could have ripped through the sub easily!! I'm not thrilled with any of this but what can I do, there not gonna fix the damage or replace it so I'm now stuck with the damage they did. I tried adding the photos but the sites not letting me load them from my phone!

Install just OK. The second time.

Everything went fine, then the sub stopped working. After another week wait and a trip back to Best Buy, the wires inside the sub turned out to be lose they they had to re-tighten. After that, everything was fine. Lots of wires still exposed which I think could have been tucked away better. This is by no means a custom install.

sub-woofer and amp install = dead car battery

Two days later the car wouldn't start. Called road side assistance and found they didn't install it to the battery correctly, bent a case to hold it on where the connection was not secure. Now I had to buy a new car battery and not able to use the sub-woofer until Geek Squad installs it correctly. They also should have installed something that stops the amp from continuously drawing from the battery when the car is off. Maybe that was that the part they said they didn't need and had me return it? Either way both roadside and the tech who installed the new battery said anyone with install knowledge knows better to do what was done for installation in my car. I will give someone 1 more week to respond to me from this store and make things right or I will start a BBB complaint and contact Best Buy Corporate for resolution.

Do it right or don't do it at all

Half rate install

The remote power turn on was wired Into a always on power supply so amp never turns off.

Didn't like placement of my amplifier

Questionable installation

Left wire loom in engine compartment. Connected powered sub to high pass right rear speaker rather than factory subwoofer. Contacted sub manufacturer after install. Signal connection point is contrary to manufacturer's recommendation. Not a good experience.
