2021 Toyota Camry XSE Amplifier Installation!!!
||Posted .The car audio installer did a great job and the amplifier and subwoofers sound very good. I brought my own equipment and wiring. The 12 volt positive wire was routed around the firewall's rubber boot with extra wiring protection and my approval. I may upgrade my cheap LOC converter to an LC2I converter to increase the input voltage for better amplifier output efficiency. Thank You for the Install Geek Squad!!!

MY WORST EXPERIENCE WITH BEST BUY EVER!!!!
||Posted .The closest Best Buy where I could get my amp installed eas in Sweetwater, Okla., 120 miles from where I live, I get up at 6am, shower and everything and leave at 7am, my appointment is at 10am. I get to the Best Buy in sweetwater at about 9:40am, it was supposed to be a 2.5 hour job, keep in mind that I have installed the speakers and run the speaker wire. So I ask the guy if I can do some pinstriping on car while he is installing the amp snd promise to get in his way, he tells me no and also tells me that i can't even be in the room where he's installing my amp, he sites insurance reasons, which is probably true even though this is NOT a garage per-sa with heavy equipment not even a floor jack its a stereo installation room with some screwdrivers and such, but I ask him how long he will be and he says about 2 hours. So I go to Lowes which is in the same mall and waste about 2.5 hours, When I get back he's on the phone, the backseat is still out of the car, the speakers are still out of the car, the exact way they were when I left, when I tried to talk to him, he just waved me off and, pointed to the phone at his ear. I go to the front and ask to speak to the store manager, this young girl approx. 22years old comes and ask's me what the problem and I explain everything that I just wrote above and told her that I had already been waiting close to 4 hours by this time, I also asked her if I could do some pinstriping on my car while I was waiting and that I wouldn't get in the installer's way, oh no she says "your not even allowed to be in that room", but she said that she would find, out what was taking so long, she came back about 20 minutes later and gave me mumbo jumbo and said he would be finished soon, well soon was over 1.5hrs later. As I was driving home I kept saying to myself that the radio was sounding like crap, this amp that I had installed in my Audi was the same amp that was in my Camaro, so I knew what it should sound like. The next day I took the amp out of my car as I was going to have someone look at it, but I noticed the two fuse's were sitting lopsided so I took the amp apart as I couldn't pull the fuse's out when i got the amp apart i seen why I couldn't them out as they were welded in to the spot where they are supposed to be able to remove them from and it looked like they had been shorted out. Needless to say I will never go back to Best Buy again!!!!!

Shady
||Posted .Well the installer he the only one that installs and was not pleasant at the midtown location in Charlotte . He said the installation would take 4 hours . Which was a joke because the battery and every is located in the back of the car so no wires had to be fed to the front for anything . I was also blindsided with an extra $25 custom fee. Plus some other fee . When I asked the installer initially I asked what was need and was that it he said yes I guess he assumed he was going to up sale me in the store but I purchased everything and brung it in so boom he had to hit me with a sneaky fee . If you go be prepared The images show my battery in the trunk on the right and on the left the " custom installation " that he preformed that took another 30 min it just that one tiny box that's about 5 inches long. from an installer that prides himself on telling customers with his sassy mouth that He's been working installation at bestbuy for 11years to do in between those two is my speaker and amp all in the trunk it took 4hrs he told me smh

Never Again
||Posted .Order Number1120361588038 Dec 26, 2020 Total: $317.99 KICKER - CX 1200W Class D Digital Mono Amplifier with Variable Low-Pass Crossover - Black Qty: 1 Picked up on Jan 2, 2021 at Walker, MI. Picked Up I paid with my credit card for the amp and also was charged for installation fee of 119.99$ WITHOUT letting me know. Then I get charged on February 21 another 119.99$ installation fee and got a 30.00$ late fee for some reason on my credit card. Now I will see Susan today and find out if the 30.00$ late fee was reported to my credit; and why was I charged installation fee on February 21 again on my credit card. I also was charged installation fee again when I picked up my car on February 7 after audio was installed with 2 damaged parts (door seal, and door sill plástic cover) to my car that best buy paid for because I did not know I was already charged for the installation when I paid for the amp. It seems I was charged 3 times and was refunded twice now. The reason why I was charged 2 times 119.99$ on my credit card installation fee is because I paid off the card first week of January January 2 2021. Which included the 119.99$ installation fee. I have no idea on my bill it shows February 21 119.99$ again. I'll find out today from Susan. Thank you Susan for your help with refunds.

Q: QuestionWill they perform this installation with customer supplied parts?I bought absolutely everything I would have needed to install this on my own (Wiring kit, subwoofer, enclosure, amp) and I recently realized that I don't feel comfortable doing this install myself. Will BestBuy still do it with the parts I bought elsewhere?
Asked by Tyler.
- A:Answer They did with me. I brought along an amp wiring kit that was a lot less expensive than what they would've used and just told them to use that. They even gave me back parts that they didn't use.

Q: QuestionI'm looking to install a 1x15 in my 2012 mustang that has the factory shaker 500. Can I LOC from the rear speakers to the sub amp cleanly? Thanks
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer That depends if you have a factory amplifier or not. If you don't then yes you can tap into any one of your speakers. If you do have a factory amp, you have to tap into the speaker wires before the factory amplifier. Otherwise there's a mix-up between signals.

Q: QuestionHow much does the Geek Squad charge for a subwoofer install? I have a JBL GTBassPro12 which has the amp built into the enclosure with the sub. How much would yall charge for installing that. I have purchased an amp wiring kit also.
Asked by Chellzo.
- A:Answer Depending on how the wiring goes for the JBL GT BassProl2, you should be looking at $99.99 for the amp installation fee, $5 materials charge fee, and if it is being attached to the factory radio there could be a custom labor charge assessed. It sounds like you're ready to go with all the parts, so please speak with your local Autotech to schedule your appointment today!

Q: Questionhello, im trying to hook up my aftermarket amp through the factory amp speaker wires that run to it. After i cut my RCA cable there are 4 wirescoming out, grey, white, red, black. All i need to know is which ones are + and - for the right and left ? Thanks!!
Asked by joee.
- A:Answer Oh my God dude, stop what you're doing right now! You can't just talk cut RCA wires and hook to speaker inputs Because speaker inputs are considered high level and RCA is NOT! I suggest looking into buying a high level input converter, unless of course you wanna blow up your amp wreck other electrical things and maybe even start a fire!!!

Q: QuestionPrice questionHow much would you charge just to tune in my amplifier. I already have it installed and connected to everything but I don't know how to adjust it to my subwoofer. Could you shoot me quote on about how much this would cost? Thanks, Jake
Asked by Jake.
- A:Answer There is no set price for tuning a stereo system. Our normal shop fee is 24.99 per 15 minutes of work. I would say at least a half hour of work to get things dialed in and sounding good
