I always spend the extra money and purchase the geek squad 2-Year Accidental Geek Squad Protection on big ticket items just for the peace of mind. I have had to use a few times in the past and it has simply paid for it's self. I do not feel like there is any other protection plan like it out there due to the simplicity of the protection plan. I purchased the protection plan on my first Fitbit One that clipped to my bra. One harsh washing machine ride later I was glad I had the protection plan. I decided to use the value and upgrade to the flex, that was a great upgrade and wore it constantly it actually was so comfortable I forgot to take it off several times swimming and shower, water proof and water resistant are not the same. Back to Best Buy and no hassle in the return and another upgrade the Charge. Loved it but as you can probably tell I am a bit rough and careless. Found myself wearing it in the shower so I decided to take it off and toss it, the toss was way harder than expected and it slammed against the bathroom mirror and didn't survive. Upgrade to the Surge only to get a rash so returned it for the Blaze. I'm a huge fan of the hassle free protection plan and the easy return policy. My promise to myself is I will not wash, toss or slam my new watch because I love it. Fingers crossed!
