I always get the geek squad plans on my expensive electronics. Their service isn't perfect but it's far better than useless broken stuff!

Got this protection plan with my husband’s PS5, after having it for only 3 months, the controller for his game, was having issues, so we took it back to BEST BUY, they took all of his information to replace his controller, and was assured he would get a new controller in 3-5 days in the mail, after about a week we received a email saying that they didn’t have the controller but they would reimburse him for the part to repair the controller, how is he supposed to get a part for the repair when he doesn’t know what’s wrong with it

Buying a protection plan for the PS4 was definitely a no brainer. If anything goes wrong with the system I can bring it back to Best Buy.

Went here to get service on my Surface Pro covered under the GSC Accidental Service Plan. Brought my laptop in shortly before the service plan expired. Geek Squad informed me my laptop may be declined for service since the service facility would receive it after plan expiration. The service facility opted to replace my device due to the issues it was having. When I visited Best Buy to get my computer back from service, they tried returning it to me without my charger or keyboard. The Geek Squad rep pulled the security footage to confirm the keyboard and power supply were sent to service with the laptop. The Geek Squad rep returned after checking the security footage to confirm the components were shipped with the laptop. After telling me how bad the service facility is at doing their job, the Rep pulled a power supply and keyboard off the sales floor, to find me suitable replacements. From the point I brought my computer in for service, to when it was returned to me. Every rep I talked to, vented candidly about how the other service teams constantly fail to do their jobs. Doubt I'll get another Geek Squad service plan after this.

I had not had a reason to use the geek squad for this product due to product working good.

Can’t go wrong with a 2 year protection plan and not have to deal with Sony.

good didn't ask for it though they just added it to my receipt after I sadi no I don't need it

In bought this to protect my PS4 purchase. PS4 has had no issues. Good insurance JIC!

Use this to have work on my computer help me out a lot with fast return

Consider this a warning: If you have any sort of manufacture issues with your item, your protection plan will be used up if you receive a replacement product. You will essentially waste $85 (because of tax) over a faulty due to the manufacture. I purchased a PlayStation 5 two months ago and the fan stopped working two days ago so I took it in to get checked out. They told me it is a manufacturer issue and since Sony has a year warranty, they would be able to just exchange it for a new system BUT that was only because of the protection plan. And because I did that, my two year protection plan actually only covered two months because of a manufactured issue. I’m not paying $85 more for another two year protection plan. I rather just contact Sony and have them help me if it happens again.

I hope this is worth it. I have never been big on extended warranties, but got this one since item was a gift. Nice if needed.

If you need anything from geek squad make sure you make an appointment in advance, or be prepared to wait.
