2 months waiting for lost cell claim no answer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hi there, a year ago a brought a gold Samsung S9 and I decide to get geek Squad Warranty to have peace in my mind just in case something happened with my device. And on 5/6/20 I lost my cell soon I can summited a claim with geek squad after many customer service calls and spending hours waiting for answers about my claim today 6/15/20 I'm still without a solution and comfortably they're still taking my money every month! for what they "CLAIM GREAT" insurance. SO I RECOMMEND TO NOT EVER GET THIS INSURANCE ALL THEY DO IS TAKE YOUR MONEY! Please don't waste your time and your money in this insurance company.

Absolute Garbage

Read the other 1 star reviews, they are all true--I wont even waste my time. I just wanted to add my 1 star because it's so disappointing to purchase a phone, with full 'coverage', to find out it's not fully covered without paying again. Waste of time, effort and money. Last phone ever from worst Buy.

Do not buy this for Samsung phone

Any little damage requires a deductible for full phone replacement. For a crack screen, it's is cheaper to pay out of pocket to get it repaired than paying the deductible for full phone replacement. Once you have this "protection", you are not allowed to get your phone fixed yourself either. It will void this expensive "protection". Bestbuy does fix iphones, so no comments on other phones

Protection Plan

I started a claim because my phone broke and today I received the "new" phone In a ziplock bag the plastic covering it is dirty, there are marks on the phone and since it is a Note it came with no pen!!! Needless to say I had to pay 200 dollars for this phone to be shipped! I got in contact with customer service and they said there was nothing they can do to help me?? WHAT A JOKE!

Don’t purchase

I was told the plan was only good until it was used then I would have to repurchase to get protection again for 2 years or until I needed it again. What a stupid plan. It should be covered for the 2 years.

Not worthy of stars

I've been trying to replace my cracked screen on Pixel 3A for months. Between them not helping at curbside due to COVID, their system being down, them sending me a useless locked phone, and now canceling my most recent order because the plan has expired I've done nothing but waste money. I have never had such a horrible customer service experience in my 40+ years of living.

Used to be good

Never had a problem never was asked to pay a deductible and never was informed that it had been changed before i bought it. I went into the trumbull ct store to get my phone replaced and was treatee very rudely. I had just got a phone replaced a year earlier and didnt have to pay a deductible. I was told 2 different answers by a manager and an employee when the deductible started the employee said 3 years ago. When i asked for a manager after telling them i replaced the phone less then a year ago and didnt pay a deductible then i was told by the manager it had been in effect for about a year and a half. So why 2 different answers seems fishy to me. Bestbuy lost a lifetime customer that day.

It is called out in our Terms & Conditions, available at www.geeksquad.com/terms, and you should have printed out on your receipt at the time of purchase. We have had this service fee in place for mobile phone Geek Squad Protection Plans since September 1, 2013.You may not have paid the fee on your previous phone replacement if the issue was covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. Don't purchase the Protection Plan!

In August my credit card expired and some how it only got updated only on one phone. They never send emails or notifications that one of my protection plan was inactive. I found out when I actually needed to use it. After 5 long hours on the phone they cannot help me. Don't waste your time purchase the insurance with your mobile provider instead. Very disappointed!

Buy your support from the Carrier not Geek Squad

The store employees are wonderful but can't really help once you've filed the claim with the 800# The call center and everyone you get at the 800# cannot help and don't do anything to escalate after waiting on hold for hours, being transferred multiple times you still get no help and no answers. Waited on hold for 3 hours today just to be told it will be 3-5 more days to know when they may ship my phone.

Wouldn’t honour the phone protection plan

Wast of money and poor service from the geek squad desk would not recommend this at all. But the guy at ubreakifix Was more then helpful with the repairs I need Just sucks I wasted my money on this plan

Can’t get a hold of anyone!!

My repair was supposed to be done a week ago and there’s no update on my product and despite waiting on hold for more than 40 minutes I can’t get anyone on the phone. Will never use them for a repair again.
