Using this printer for design homework has been perfect because of the AirPrint feature. The printer's ability to talk to my mobile device is very nice for printing directly from my class app, as well as my laptop. The scanner bed on top is great for scanning high-quality sketches and making copies of my templates. The top completely opens for easy access to the larger glass surface, which is helpful for working on projects involving physical media distortion. Got the xp5200. The setup was almost foolproof. Paper instructions led you to the phone app, which set the whole thing up inclulding wifi connection and test printing. Paper instructions then directed you to get the PC software which then too easily installed the device. The print quality is better than my old inkjet that died. The print from anywhere works and is very helpful. Overall for the price wow this is a bargain.

I purchased this to replace a ten year old Canon all-in-one printer (MX922) and the difference has been night and day. The Epson is quick quick to boot up, respond to commands, scan, and print (the Canon was very slow and generally infuriating). The touchscreen works well, print quality is very good (at least for the non-photo documents I've printed so far), and the Epson iPrint app works well (it's not a very refined app but does what I need it to). I love the compact size and that the scan feeder tray can be closed to create a flat top surface when not in use. There are cheaper all-in-one options out there, and Epson ink is expensive ('chipped' cartridges are certainly galling), but so far this has been well worth the price.

I bought this printer/scanner for home use. Since I am working from home this has been convenient. I got it on sale for $99 and I am really glad I got this instead of something more expensive. I have only had the printer for 3 months, of light to moderate use and no problems. It prints and scans just fine, it was easy to download the software on my computer. I like how the scanner has a tray feeder option, but BEWARE-- do not put more than a few pages in the tray at a time. I just scanned a 31 page document for work and had to split it up into 4 different stacks in the feeder one stack at a time(few pages each stack) as soon as it scanned a few pages. Before that it got jammed, so if you're going to scan a lot of pages be careful.

Always helpful to have for warranty purposes. Good
