Always recommend the geek squad protection, especially when it's a product you will be using daily like headphones. Worth it when life gets in the way.

My friend is on her 3rd or 4th set of headphones they last six to 18 months before having to be replaced either the left or right side will stop working

Glad I got this for dad. From the constant pulling of the earpiece , the cord got messed up and there was no audio on that side. Thankfully we were able to get the unit replaced through warranty.

the best thing best buy offers is their two year protection plan because electronics goes out. When they do and you have the protection plan you can exchange your product no questions asked.

Geek squad is always a must have. I didn't buy it ONCE for my girlfriends tablet and she dropped it and cracked the screen. Always go with the extra protection on electronics.
