I say it's better to be safe than sorry. For electrical items that aren't easily replaceable it's best to get the store replacement policy.

Geek squad protection is a must. They replace what ever I purchase with no questions. What else would you want. Buy it it's worth it.

I purchased a two year protection plan and so far have not had to use it but it is comforting to know I have it incase I would have to.
