Some manufacturer warranties are really lame now a days. This gives a good low cost option to get a reasonable peace of mind.

I have not had to use them so far and a very easy experience with them only thing is you have to make appointments

A couple years I purchased beats headphones and they broke after just one year. Luckily I had Geek Squad protection and they replaced it with some brand new ones right away.
