Thankfully we had a protection plan, as our less than five year old television failed. We were able to upgrade to a new TV at no cost. Best Buy provided excellent advice and service.

Without you companies make stuff now it’s always good to get a warranty

Been a customer of geek squad over 20 years, and they're quality has declined. Had a product go bad in 6 months and the price of the item doubled. They did not pro-rate my credit and gave me minimal options but to upgrade to a way more expensive item, even though i wanted a direct replacement or next comparable item for my warranty.

They are always available to help, with any questions you have.

The extra protection is work it, the unexpected can always happen..

Always worth getting the protection plan! A piece of my vacuum broke off many years later and I got a full refund in store credit.

This was a five year warranty package that includes damage coverage from a lightning strike, which is what terminated the TV the new purchase replaced. I hope I do not have to use this coverage so I could provide a more thorough rating. I did have a problem with the new TV, but it was within a year of purchase, so Geek Squad protection told me I needed to process my claim through the original manufacturer warranty plan.

while I have the 85inch 4k TV, I also bought the 2 years Geek squad, not only for protection, also for the professional servcies the Best buy can provide.
