    $30.00 warranty for TV

    Fortunately I got a working TV and have not had to test the warranty yet, but this tv will get used a lot in our bedroom so I got the warranty for 30.00. If it quits the cashier said I could just replace it for a year then they will fix it or refund my money when something happens.

    Had ethernet problems with a TV on the 5 year plan. Geek squad couldn't solve issue on the phone. The rep made an appointment for Geek squad to come out and fix it. In the mean time I reset the TV numerous times and it started working, so I canceled the appointment. I'm giving them 5 stars because the rep on the phone was pretty helpful and set me an appointment right away.

    I always practice what I preach. That is, when buying electronics or appliances always purchase an extended warranty. It's worth the investment. Get it for the maximum time that Best Buy offers. You won't regret it. At least I haven't yet. I had a lot of items go down but with that extended warranty, I would just call and the problem would be solved quickly.

    The agent that delivered was great! Set everything up where we wanted it with great care and hooked it all up. He made sure everything was working, gave us some instructions and we were set to go. Thanks Geek Squad,

    I love the Best Buy protection plan, which I've used for lower-cost items like hearing aids and smart watches. I hope it works and is just as excellent.

    If I could give it 0 stars I would. I bought a 77" Sony OLED from them a year ago. My previous TV had been broken by a Toddler visiting my house so I asked the sales associate if their protection plan covered a cracked screen like a toddler throwing a balloon weight through the TV. He assured me that it would. Well... we moved and guess what, after taking all the precautions to make sure the TV did not suffer any damage, the screen cracked. Best buy now states they don't cover cracked screens on Sony OLEDs... I was conned into buying an expensive warranty for the sole purpose of accidental damage on a TV that is now useless. Beware, their sales associates don't know what they are talking about. Looking at it in the best light the sales associate sold us the wrong protection plan. In the worst light, he conned us into a membership with basic protection plan to get a bonus or some kind of kickback when what we wanted was the protection plan with accidental damage coverage.

    Purchased for our other tv, same idea as we have young kids and it is not a good day when the living tv gets smashed and you have no warranty/protection plan and end up spending 10x as much if ya buy the plan rather than a whole new tv.

    Good Warranty at a Great Price

    I hope I never have to use it, but I'd still highly recommend it. I bought this with a big screen television, mainly because if something does happen, they (Geek Squad) will come to you to repair it, rather than having to lug it back into the store. That's worth everything it costs and more.

    Thankfully my old 55" TV had a 5 year warranty. After 4 1/2 years, the board started to go out. It turned out that the TV was not worth the money to repair and they honored my warranty and I was able to get a new TV (60"), and since TV's have come down in price significantly, I was able to get the TV, new 5 year warranty, delivery and set up, and still get $300 back in Best Buy cash.

    Well worth the cost - Time frames for certain repairs are always going to be subject to delays - Bottom line is though, Geek Squad stands behind their commitments and will continue to work on an issue until everything is up and running as good as new - People just have to keep in mind, everything isn't instant gratification... as much as we would like it to be - Robert C

    The 5 year geek squad warranty is excellent. If they can’t fix the TV they will replace it. The geek squad comes to your residence they are very polite, professional and prompt with time.
