I purchased a protection plan for the Roku Ultra I just bought, and it was a waste of money. I called with a problem, and the Geek Squad "professional" set me up the following Tuesday for an in-home appointment. But I waited all that assigned Tuesday and no one showed up. Then I received a notification from Best Buy that it was for the NEXT Tuesday. The man who came out knew nothing about Rokus, because he was a TV repairman (I have GS protection on my TV, too). He made a bunch of promises, kept none, and left without helping. So, I got a replacement Roku, and it has the same problems as the first. The only use in buying a protection plan on a small device is that you can get it replaced for up to 2 years (or 3, or 4, depending upon your plan) if it should break down. But don't expect much in the way of service otherwise. I buy the protection plan on everything I buy from Best Buy, and so far, everything I have bought in the last 10 years has needed at least one repair... so the extra cost has been worth the money. But not so much on the Roku Ultra.

This is great service and great to at least have for unexpected it situations. So far I have no issues or encountered bad experience yet.

I feel safe knowing I have this service but it can sometimes be a hassle to get things sorted out if need be

I don't know. Can the geek squad tell me how I can use it without high speed internet? If so I will give it a higher rating

I'm glad I have a four year warranty on my device but strangely it's classified TV not game system

4-year protection service for the Chromecast and they will replace the remote if it stops working or causes other problems.

So far been great been with Best Buy 17 years only one time did I have any issues

I’m excited for the extra warranty for the product if anything pup I can return or replace the product.

The protection plan is great, but getting it serviced properly really has a lot to do with the agent you work with.

Tried using this, Agent Praveen was a terrible encounter had me on hold virtually for like 30mins inbetween 2 sentence responses. I mean even if you were looking up my info you could at least type in and tell me you would be right back, the exp was appalling. Couldnt get a proper response on how to use the warranty.

Not sure why I'm being asked to review Greek squad. I've never used it but I'll take the 25 points lol.

this is a bit of a sham, the 2 year protection runs concurrent with the warranty that comes with your idem so your really only getting a extra year

Constantly disconnecting from wifi and resetting. The part that’s frustrating is that the quality of the sound is great and the apps it offers is also good, but the CONSTANT disconnecting is frustrating. On the verge of trading it in.

It is serviceable and does what it was purchased for. I do not regret buying it
