    Bought this because as in previous experience, Best Buy does repair or replace TV’s. I had a DLP that had some kind of part failure and Best Buy took care of it. I have also bought TVs with this warranty and have not had issues. Its good for “peace of mind.” I most recently purchased this for an OLED. These TVs have a small risk of panel failure and/or image burn in. Best Buy offers coverage for this. I doubt I’ll have any issues, but just incase. I decided to get 5 years of coverage. TV’s are sensitive tech these days. They are difficult to transport etc... In home service is best.

    Purchased this plan for myself and luckily I never needed it. However, I assisted my mother in purchasing a 65 inch 4K Samsung set the same year. She had some problems with the set several times. She called the Geek Squad at her local store and they quickly dispatched team members out to get her set sorted out. The last year of her plan, she had issues with the screen. Once again they came out but determined the set would need to be replaced. I assisted her with selection of a new set. She was more than pleased with their help and the new Sony replacement set. She received a brand new set better than the original one and even had enough credits remaining to get another 5 year plan of Geek Squad service. All of this without having to spend another penny! Geek Squad service plans are fantastic!

    Best Warranty and Service in the Industry

    Best Buy (Geek Squad) honors their warranty. I've bought this warranty for each of my kids laptops when they go into college. I have one who tends to have issues with her machines. In every case, Best Buy has honored the warranty and fixed or replaced the machine. Awesome Job Geek Squad!

    It is alexa comparible, i love that i can control my tv through ghe alexa app, the image is great for watching tv shows, movies and even plauing videogames. Yea youbwill get a much better image with a 120hz or higher tv, but you will also be paying 2-3 times more for a 57 inch tv. Im very happy with this purchase. I bought the warranty for like $30, i have complete peace of mind for the next 4-5 years if anything happens. Cant go wrong!

    I originally purchased an open box item with the Geek Squad protection only to find the excellent condition was not even close with the screen of my television suffering severe damage. After trying to deal with the Geek Squad over the phone and being very frustrated with what I am assuming is an India based phone center, I gave up and took my issue directly to my local Best Buy store where it took some time, but I was eventually told I could receive a replacement television since the damage could not be repaired. Within 24 hours, the Geek Squad came to my home, removed the old TV, installed the new one and was in an out in under 30 minutes. If it weren't for having to deal with an unhelpful call center the rating would be higher, but since I have a local Best Buy to work with, the protection was definitely worth it.

    I purchased a protection plan along with a TV purchase to ensure I had a working and functional TV for at least 5 years. The purchased TV was the high end of the brand at the time and we've enjoyed it. Unfortunately I cannot say the same regarding the protection plan. In my first year, we ran into issues with the TV. It was under manufacturers warranty, so they covered a motherboard replacement. Within a few weeks of the manufacturers warranty ending, ran into more issues with the TV. This is the reason I purchased the protection plan and thought I was covered. It was easy getting someone out to inspect and determine another motherboard replacement was needed. That was during my last week of my remote job. I have since started a new job that's 45mins away. I communicated this and the technician said it wasn't a problem and scheduled a Saturday appointment. The date rolls around and no communication from Best Buy all day. I call and am told no agent was assigned and would escalate my issue. It cascaded downhill more and more from here. I had a total of 5 escalations and >12 interactions with Best Buy customer service via chat, call, and in store. Then I'm finally told by someone at corporate that they don't have Saturday appointments in my area and said I should take PTO. It's a new job that I haven't received any PTO yet, so the rep was basically putting me in position to call out sick and hurt my reputation and employment status with this employer. I ask about options like exchanging or returning for store credit and was told that's not an option because they haven't gotten a chance to fix it. They won't work with you for Saturday appointments. So I've been stuck with a malfunctioning TV for months and am told my only option was to mail a complaint to corporate. I mailed a letter to corporate and still haven't received any type of communication. I've been a long time customer of Best Buy. Very disappointed by this situation and I feel cheated being stuck with a malfunctioning TV. Why would I ever shop at Best Buy again after an experience like this?
