    I actually worked at bestbuy years ago and protection plans were a hard sell, they are extremely expensive and rarely used, but as an ex employee i also saw customers come in and buy their dream TV just to have a storm pop it a week later, or the most memorable story was a child pouring juice all over a tv as the mom was unpacking it. It’s a sad conversation to have when you know someone has been saving for something and it’s gone in seconds and theirs really nothing you can do. It’s like buying your dream car, wrecking it and taking it back to the dealer and asking for another.... I HATE BUYIJG PROTECTION PLANS but I do it every time now. One day one of these plans is going to pay for all of the plans I’ve ever bought.

    Always go with the Squad! Otherwise here in Hawaii it’s nearly impossible to find anyone capable or willing to fix your electronics for less than what you paid brand new!

    This TV has the best picture of any tv I've ever owned. Even the sound is great. My only draw back would be the game mode. While it has to be in game mode for some fast moving games for the timing to work the picture doesnt look nearly as good. Only use game mode if the controls feel sluggish and it will corret them. Otherwise use the best picture you can and your game will never look better.

    Great thing to have, some people say it will never go bad. Well if the manufactures warranty is 1 year and the TV gets hit by lightning surge and Fry's the circuitry 1 year and 1 day later you are out of luck. If you have one of these plans your covered.

    Just purchased a new Sony 75'' tv and the 2 yr extended Geek Squad warranty. Brought it home myself. They wanted 200.00 buck's to deliver and set it up. I got a friend to help with unboxing and set up. " It takes two people to unbox and set up this big tv. " Out of the box the new Sony TV has a bad Pixel. Red dot with a line all the way across the screen. First, I was asked to bring it back in for exchange myself? Of course I said no, I purchased the "Geek Squad Warranty ". They told me if I had any issues they'd come to my house and fix it.! Long story short. Even though I purchased the " Geek Squad Warranty " where they said they would come out and fix my tv at my house for no charge,... they said because it's still covered by the manufactures warranty they would have to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs! Could take weeks. They will exchange it and deliver me a new tv at no charge and set it inside my house and pick up the old new tv but that's it. I will be responsible for unboxing and setting up the new tv again myself and disposing of the big box and all of the packaging. Also, today is the 4th of July 2024, my appointment for receiving my replacement TV is 7/17/24, 13 day's from now and the the so called NARROW appointment window on the 17th is 7 am to 7 pm.!! Really?? Lol. I need to be available for 12 hours? Is the best we can do? I'm glad I have the warranty or I'd have to box this thing back up and return it myself but I'm disappointed that I got a defective tv, that's on Sony. I paid big buck's for what I expected to be a top Quality product! I'm also disappointed that Best Buy won't just come out and fix this TV, that's why I paid for the warranty! So I wouldn't have to go through all of this hassle with returns, exchanges etc.

    I always purchase these. Prices are good. I use to think these were a waste of money but now with newer technology I consider it necessary. Years ago I didn’t buy a plan and one day after warranty I had problems. You guessed it, had to buy another TV investing lots more money than the cost of a plan

    I wish I can give 0 stars. The worst experience I’ve EVER experienced with Best Buy and I always have them install stuff. The one guy was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! He didn’t do anything I put in my order and kept saying it wasn’t there. Then they didn’t even finish setting up my tv. If this the type of people they have working with them now I won’t be coming back! From the start to the end the man was Rude, rude, rude!!!! I asked for the cord to be hidden in the order, he said it wasn’t in there (in a snarky tone). I asked for the old tv to be relocated in the order. He said oh no I’ll have to charge you (again in a rude tone). He left without setting the tv up, but honestly I didn’t want his negative rude self in my house any longer anyways. Never again!!!

    Every time you purchase some high-value equipment that is sensitive to changes in the electrical system, consider the extended warranty for as long as possible and, together with the manufacturer's, it will give you a lot of peace of mind when solving any problem with your equipment. Geek Squad are very responsible and above all very efficient with their services.

    I really don't like the idea of needing additional protection beyond the warranty. But, on a HI-Def TV I felt it was best to buy it. The sale rep told me that Best Buy had recently lowered the price of their service plans and it did seem reasonable for five years. Even consumer articles are recommending a protection plan of new TV's with the expense and hassle of getting them repaired under warranty. I was told that to have LG repair it under warranty if needed be sent to them. If it's true of not, I have read that some plans do require you to ship it to them. A TV is too much trouble to attempt this with. In the last 8 years of flat screen ownership I've only needed 1 repair. It was in the last month of the first warranty I'd purchased and was a good experience.

    Great service to get had it with my phone allows u to keep the value under the warranty to atleast replace or get a newer item to use for just one payment worth using and keeping track of. Especially for my tv that have a hard time with constant gaming and family movie watching

    First I bought a top-of-the-line LG TV and I didn’t get a warranty because I didn’t think I would need it with a beautiful TV as that. sure enough 11 months into the TV the back light tube went out. And it would’ve costed more to fix than it would be to buy a new one so I bought a new TV this time I paid $80 for five year warranty which I thought was stupid for doing until 4 years later when the TV broke and thank god I got that $80 Warranty cuz it saved my but. so if you’re going to spend all that money on a nice TV I can promise u it’s well worth every extra penny to get a warranty. Even if just for peace of mind alone

    The pixels in my tv started going out. I called geek squad because I had bought a protection plan on the tv. They set me up a quick appointment to have a technician come out and diagnose the problem. The technician was very friendly and early which was great. All and all I was able to get a replacement on the tv. Smooth easy service!

    Great extended warranty!

    I needed service on another TCL TV with dead pixels after the manufacturer warranty ran out. Service guy assessed the issue as unrepairable. So, the extended warranty kicked and a new a TV was ordered. Delivered yesterday and I completed the set up. All is well again.
