    If I could give it 0 stars I would. I bought a 77" Sony OLED from them a year ago. My previous TV had been broken by a Toddler visiting my house so I asked the sales associate if their protection plan covered a cracked screen like a toddler throwing a balloon weight through the TV. He assured me that it would. Well... we moved and guess what, after taking all the precautions to make sure the TV did not suffer any damage, the screen cracked. Best buy now states they don't cover cracked screens on Sony OLEDs... I was conned into buying an expensive warranty for the sole purpose of accidental damage on a TV that is now useless. Beware, their sales associates don't know what they are talking about. Looking at it in the best light the sales associate sold us the wrong protection plan. In the worst light, he conned us into a membership with basic protection plan to get a bonus or some kind of kickback when what we wanted was the protection plan with accidental damage coverage.

    My LG tv broke and Geek Squad helped me to replace it. They were very nice and helpful. The protection plan was worth it.

    I have not used the Geek Squad for the TV , I am relieved to know they are a call away. I did use the Geek Squad for my computer an its was SUPER easy and fast!

    I am a true believer in the warranty program for big ticket items. I had purchased a TV previously and after a few years there were major issues. Geek squad came & removed older TV and gave me full credit to purchase a replacement. They then came & installed the new TV. They were great to work with.

    Essential for big purchases

    I wouldn’t make a big purchase without buying the extended warranty. My high end laptop went bad and Best Buy reimbursed me with a gift card. Same thing with a sound bar that went bad. Also, I had a tv that went bad from Best Buy and thank goodness I had the extended warranty on it. They give you the current value of the product, not what you paid for it on a gift card. That is way better than being at a total loss.

    I purchased the protection plan because I have used them in the past. My past tv motherboard went out and I was able to get paid for my last tv because the cost to fix the tv was more than the tv was worth. I love their protection plans.

    My Samsung 65 Q80T screen failed in less than 6 months. I called Geek Squad and when the replacement part was unavailable then gave me full credit towards purchase and installation of a replacement TV. The replacement make my purchase of Geek Squad protection well worth the purchase cost.

    An agent brought our new TV to our hone and set it up. He was fast, thorough. Before we bought this TV, we needed a Tech to come to our home to check out the TV. A problem was identified and repairs made, all on our schedule. They came when we needed them. So grateful for this service.

    The protection for any product should be mandatory. Any issues later Best Buy will replace it no questions Ask. At least to me. I always purchase the extra warranty on any high end appliances, computers and tvs. Highly recommend this.

    Always purchase the week squad protection for any electronics over $100. The service basically pays for itself, if used.

    So we decided to get the 5yr warranty instead of 2yrs because there is only $20 difference. Salesperson was very helpful. Basically, best buy will cover for any repairs except if it is a physical problem. Just incase your television will not totally work.. You can get another tv same or close to what you bought or they will give you the money back (perhaps a store credit). I think it is a good idea.
