Always a good idea to get Geek Squad coverage when you buy a TV

Normally I don't buy the additional service coverage but since I was having a rash of issue with electrical equipment lately, I thought it was a good idea.

We explicitly asked for accidental and we assured that this protection plan has it. Come to find out this protection does nto offer accidental, and the worst was to find out that BestBuy doesn't offer any accidental coverage for TVs at all. You are better off purchasing Upsie or from another company.

Never had to use this service. The items purchased have worked just fine and didn’t need professional installation

I bought a brand new 50" TV and the 2 year protection plan from Best Buy. As soon as I got home and turned it on, I noticed it had a grey blotch on TV. I called the support services, they sent out a guy from LG who looked at it and said "get a new TV." I call Best Buy asking for them to please come and replace it. I am 100 lbs and live alone. I can't carry a 50" TV to you guys. They said NO. WHAT did I pay the extra money for geek squad for?? Now I'm stuck with a defective TV that I just bought. USELESS and your customer service sucks.

I only buy this to be safe for the just in case factor, but I never use it so I'm not sure if it's worth it.

You have to wait hours on the phone to a call center with people that don't speak good English. Can't call any store directly. so when your stuff breaks plan to not have it for a long while!

Bought a tv along with geek squad warranty 4 months ago. About a month ago tv stopped working contacted best buy a tech. came out twice to try and fix it, but was unable to. Last time tech. showed up he said he would follow up the same day to let me know how to proceed with the issue. The tech never called back, a week later i called geek squad wondering what happened, i was told a supervisor would call me back within 4 hours. Its been a week and no call. HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!

I always get protection on large purchases but not sure if its worth the extra money. From my experiences appliances usually go bad after warranty is up.

Nothing is wrong with the product so I have not used the protection plan. Can’t comment if it is good or bad.

Please read the fine print. It may not cover everything when you need them.

The geek squad support isn't very necessary for a product like this. I got one on a laptop and he honestly told me to buy another laptop for the price to fix it.

I’m partial to Insigna I bought this as a replacement for my daughter who likes Toshiba plus it was on sale

I haven't had to use this yet, but hopefully don't have to. I have had to use these for other products and was disappointed. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.

I don't normally get the extended warranty, but the unknown provenance of the TV brand makes me a bit anxious.
