When it comes to TVs and anything covered with their "accidental handling" I always get the protection plan. It's a real life saver if something goes wrong.

Thankfully, we had extended warranty with our credit card company who gave us our full refund to purchase a new TV with a 5 year Geek Squad Protection Plan that we had to use just three weeks after purchase. Highly recommend protection, today, as nothing can be sure to lasts like they once did.
