    I have not used the Geek squad for this particular item, but have in the past and they are the best. Quick and knowledgable.

    As luck would have it my issue was about to be resolved and then bam Covid hit and stores were closed. Even through all of this they took care of me. I was eligible for a product exchange and so I selected it from the website not being able to go into the store. But not having the benefit of a product demo and information to help me make my decision like would be done when physically shopping in the store, they sent someone to do that for me in my home when things opened back up to make sure I was satisfied with my decision. Thank you Best Buy every time!

    Geek squad is the best part of shopping at Best Buy. When I go in to the store they are always helpful and work with me to resolve questions or problems. When they come out to set up or correct problems they are courteous, competent and are able to demonstrate how the product works. For those of us who are not good at technology they are a very valuable resource. Just know that if you need help during covid they are very hard to reach by phone - it is far better to go into the store in person and speak directly to one of the techs.

    Love Geeksquad! They have never failed me. Super convenient and totally worth it. I’ve had to use them a handful of times over the last 15 years and such an easy process. Highly recommend.

    I bought an open box tv. All my purchases at best buy are made with the 5 year warranty. Best bargain by far in this inflation climate we are Experiencing.

    Had an LG LED TV die on me. Brought it into Bestbuy, had to make an appointment to speak with a Geek Squad member. Next appointment was available the following weekend. I went in the next Saturday, TV was sent out within a day or so. I kept getting emails telling me what was going on. After 5 days or so they told me nothing could be done to repair the TV, it would cost too much. And I was getting a replacement. Went back to Bestbuy and they gave me a gift card for the full amount. If I didn't buy this protection plan, I would be out of $600. Needless to say I used the gift card to buy a new TV and I bought the extended warranty.

    The warranty saved me o this purchase and helped offset the cost of an upgrade later. 5 year warranty was money well spent.

    I highly recommend getting a protection plan for any expensive item. Especially items that have in-home protection because they are to large to take to the store. My 60" Samsung Smart TV broke 3 yrs after purchase which meant the manufactures warranty would've expired. Fortunately I had a 5 yr Geek Squad plan. They came to my home assessed the problem and because they didn't have the parts to repair my Samsung they gave me a voucher to purchase a newer model as a replacement. I paid $220 for the protection plan on the 60" it was worth every penny! Otherwise I would have nothing. So I gladly paid $189 for the 5 yr protection plan on the replacement TV

    I had an issue with a defective product and after a lengthy discussion with customer support to prove that is was a product defect and nothing I did, my new product was delivered and installed 2 days later with the defective one hauled away. Had the customer service end of things been smoother, my rating would be higher, but overall i was glad I bought the protection and was very happy with how everything was handled once my claim was approved.

    Geek squad has some of the best protection for customers. They’re one of the few businesses left that doesn’t treat their customer’s insurance/protection coverage like it’s a personal inconvenience to them, or operate it like a scam and not actually protect your purchase when you try to get them to honor it. I don’t usually opt for “protection” because it is usually a scam. I do at Best Buy though, because they’re known for actually honoring their protection agreements.

    [Employee of bestbuy] You can never go wrong with extra protection. Especially when it comes with zero parts or labor charges. And you can go into any Best Buy to make a claim.

    This is a little tricky and almost sneaky. If you buy some thing on the website, you have the option of adding a five-year geek squad plan. Nobody tells you that when you’re in the store and you buy a Samsung item. You are only allowed to get Samsung care as your warranty. It is one year less and $10 more. God help you if you try to cancel it and buy the other warranty. You will be on the phone for 13 hours like I was.

    A very experienced technician diagnosed my TVs issues and determined I was eligible for a replacement under Geek Squad warranty. I am very happy with the new TV and the service provided. Best protection plan from any retailer I’ve experienced.
