Every product that I purchased from Best Buy has a protection plan. When my Lab top went down Geek Sqaud was there to fix in a jiffy. And the plan is affordable.

It's great to have insurance for something that was a bit expensive it's nice to know that if something happens that Best Buy will send some one to exchange it

I Love geek squad protection . They try to fix it if not they give you money to buy another one . Or whatever you need to buy. I highly recommend this to my friends.

This was certainly affordable. Luckily I haven’t had to use it yet

They'll give you a schpeel about how it covers MORE than what the manufacturer warranty covers, but it doesn't really. And you're paying for something you can't use. In my case, I paid for something I originally declined, but was talked into because I was promised it was added onto the end of the manufacturer's warranty, which was appealing. Only it didn't and I paid for something I never needed or wanted and when I needed it, it wasn't any good. To make it better, I tried to talk to them about a refund, and instead the customer "service" guy put me on hold for 1.5 HOURS and disconnected me. I called from my cell to see if someone could come back to the land line I was holding on and THEY put me BACK on hold for another HOUR before disconnecting me. So obviously, not impressed with the service or the product. No wonder they can't compete with Amazon or Walmart.

Do not buy this service or at best buy, period. When you try to return your TV that had a display failure 30 days after purchase, they will send you home woth the non-functioning TV and tell you to call a 1800 # that is unable to schedule your "service" in the next 2 weeks. But you cant return it... good thing i paid for the exended warranty. You can only return a product to the store for 15 days after purchase. They would rather pay a Geek Squad to drive 1 hour plus roynd trip to try and repair a $250 tv rather than exchange it in store and send the tv(still under manufacturers warranty) to repair. Worst customer service I've had from any business in at least a decade. If i could give no starsor a negative star review I would.
