    My brand new LG TV (December) went out and Best Buy passed me along to LG because it was still under warranty. Best Buy would have had this already fixed, but now my TV is out, has been for over a week and the terrible repair people that LG passed me off on are saying that MAYBE sometime next week it will be fixed. TERRIBLE! Why did I pay Best Buy extra to protect it if they are not doing anything about my dead TV? I sure hope that 2 year protection plans restarts itself once my TV is actually operational again.

    this protection plan is excellent ! from previous experience - with our defective tv which didn't function after the geek squad guys tried to repair it, we were offered replacement of the defective tv or store credit. we chose the store credit. we were able to buy a newer model of the tv (with additional cost, of course).

    good tv. ideal for games. very powerful sound. I like that it is updated frequently. If you like to watch movies in the evenings in a dark room, then this TV will give a good result. in a bright room, the image will be dark. I advise you to buy if there is a discount on the TV, you will not regret the money.

    We didn't want any liability for our new Sony 75" TV set failing under Sony's or Best Buy's warranty. And given that we had the Geek Squad do the installation, it was a no brainer to have the Best Buy warranty. Even if nothing fails, its better insurance than we have for hurricane damage on the house!

    For my birthday, I bought myself a whole home theater system. For the product, I was buying, this was just extra insurance, incase. They also installed everything, which was great. The installation was done professionally.

    5 Year Warranty

    We purchased a 5 year warranty for our new LG TV. The original TV we bought had really bad pixel burn on the screen, and the 2 year warranty really saved us. We purchased the 5 year warranty for the new TV we traded for with hopes that the TV outlives it's warranty. The cost of $30 for 5 years is worth the cost, especially if something happens to the TV.

    Always comes thru and perfect support because last year I had a problem with my 60" TV and they ordered the replacement screen at no cost - otherwise it would have been over $1200! Another problem a year later - and because of the on going problems - they stuck by their service and gave me full replacement cost I got the 65" same TV on sale for same as I got the 60" last year! Always on time and polite and explaining everything.

    I purchased the 5 year Warranty on a Sharp TV. WITH 2 months left on the Warranty , it woukdnot start. BESTBUY replacec the TV when it was unable to be replaced. Great purchase. Great price.

    We love the geek squad protection. This is the main reason we shop at Best Buy. We had a problem a few years ago with a tv that we had owned over a year. We took the tv back to our local Best Buy. They looked at it and refunded us the entire amount we had paid for the tv. It took about 40 minutes for the entire process, including waiting in line.

    Free in home Geek Squad visits have been very helpful! They migrated data between my two I Macs and are helping me fine tune my Wi-Fi system in the house. The agents even make product recommendations and schedule a future appointment to deliver and install new items.
