So far so good on this set. In my experience with TCL so far, the TV will stop working just past the MFR warranty, so I bought the 5 year geek squad protection plan to cover it longer.

Geek squad warranty saved me twice and I got a store credit for my next time. For the piece of mind do it!

This is for the service plan on my tv. Hoping I never have tp use it but glad I have it in case I need it.

I always get a protection plan on anything i buy at best buy. Becsuse if anything happens to my products can alwsys get it fixed.or get a new one if they can not fix its

I plan on keeping the Samsung 40" TV I purchased for many years and realize that most electronic equipment problems occur in the first 2 years of active life. I will be covered for that period and I do know that the GEEK SQUAD will have my back.

This is worth every dollar and I'm sure if the service is needed they will come through for us.

The employee could not provide a pamphlet and specifics on the warranty coverage. She just kept saying "we don't protect for product damage" meaning if we drop it, we deal with it. We were more interested in true coverage details and purchased without true knowledge of what all is protected like surge protection, damaged power cord, and internal issues like computer chip for Smart features. In part, insurance used to require documentation of coverage and exclusions, but they had absolutely nothing in writing.

Always worth the peace of mind, especially for higher ticket items. Dealing with manufacturer warranties can be a headache.
