Its always hopeful to never have to use the extended warranties, but always great to have it just in case.

We bought the Best Buy 5-year Warranty for our 55" Sony TV as an insurance policy. Although the warranty document doesn't state this fact, the warranty begins the day you purchase it.... much easier than dealing with Sony.

Never buy electronics without getting extended warranty protection. It is not very expensive and well worth it.

Always get the Protection Plan. Good value and piece of mind. Hope I don't have to use it but glad I have it.

While the TV in particular I purchased is not overly expensive, I felt the need to purchase the extended warranty because it was a fair price for 2-more years.

Sometimes you don't need the plan if you are buying quality products but it's great to have if something goes wrong so you don't have to buy a whole new thing.

If you have a MacBook, protecting it is a no-brainer unless you just have money to waste on repairs.
