This is definitely better than not having any ice at all, however, it takes some planning beforehand b/c it takes a good bit of time just to get enough to fill a glass. Also, the ice is much wetter than what you'd get from an ice maker inside your freezer. If I figure the cost per ice cube that came out of it, it's definitely not worth the price. It was a better deal to spend the $300 to get my refrigerator's ice maker fixed.

I bought this in 2018 for my daughter for Christmas, it lasted exactly 2 years. Then quite.

We set the ice maker up outside the RV. The ambient temperature was about 75 degrees. I was hoping this ice maker would keep the ice cubes solid. The cubes begin melting soon after they are being made. We tried transferring the cubes to the RV freezer. The cubes freeze in one big clump. I am going to try setting up the ice maker in the RV and see if that works. Not sure if I should return it or just work around the issues. At this point, I would not be able to recommend this ice maker to a friend.

This does create ice, but I hate the fact it does not keep the ice cold enough, so it will melt and stick together.

Makes ice quickly, but it after a few months it stopped working. I normally love insignia products but this one missed the mark.

I ended up returning the product after it stopped working after two days. When it did work, the ice cubes both large and small did the trick. However, it seemed like it was more trouble than it was worth because the fan would stopped working after 2 days.

I love portable ice machines, but this one played out in not even a year causing such an inconvenience. I needed it for the holidays and didn't have it. Ohhh nooo!

it is not a bad little ice maker for home use, don't expect a lot of ice for parties unless you keep putting the made ice in the freezer before your party.

After a year it stopped making ice and no warranty was purchased on my part so now it’s useless.

I bought a portable ice maker to help keep up with my refrigerator over the summer. Only lasted a year! But overall, great product.

The ice maker worked well for a couple of weeks. After about six uses the Add Water light would not turn off and rendered the ice maker useless. Fortunately, I purchased the warranty and was able to exchange it for a new one. I’ve used the new maker about 6 times with no issues so far. I rarely purchase the extended warranty, but I’ve read reviews for similar ice makers stating that they are not reliable.

Jams a lot when making ice. Gets hung up on top of ice maker discharge. Ok for a kitchen. Don’t rely for a ice bag replacement.

A bit slower than I liked so I had to find another model that kicked it up a notch.

But holds less then a gallon in the tank. It takes about 3 gallons to make 26lbs of ice...but the tray fills up fast so unless your around and dumping it all into the freezer you’ll barely have any ice. I just fixed the freezer ice machine for less. I was under the impression that I could set it up and wake up to 26 lbs of ice tommorow.

Icemaker works very well. You have to ck on it freaquently. Bin fills up

make ice ice melts does stay ice form very long short period between ice cycles

makes ice like it says.but if you dont use it right away or put in frezzer it melts pretty fast.

It doesn’t make ice as fast as I would like but it’s ok for a small group.
