Q: If the ice melts does the water go back to the resivoir or does it need emptied every day?
A: this only makes the ice, it doesn't keep it cold. so if the ice is left, it will melt and go back into the water used to make the ice. there is no need to empty the water everyday.
Q: How fast from first fill to first batch of ice? How much ice does it make in single cycle?
A: Probably 5 - 10 minutes to first batch, depending on air temp and then another batch every 5 minutes or so. Makes 9 cubes per cycle.
Q: Do you have to fill the machine with water or hook up a line
A: This will need to be filled.
A: No you can leave it until it fills up but the ice on the bottom will eventually start melting.
Q: What are the sizes of the 2 choices on the ice cube?
A: The sizes "small" and "large" and are approximately 1/2 and 1 teaspoon respectively in size (the cubes are little hollow tubes). We love it!!
Q: How do I set this up when I purchase ice maker just plug it in and choose the size of ice to use?
A: All you have to do is add water, put the basket in and plug it in. Hit the power button and choose your ice size. Very easy to use
A: You can clean it a couple different ways. One way is to pull the ice tray which can then be cleaned in the dishwasher. The actual ice maker itself cannot be submerged, it would have to be wiped down with a sponge and soap and water. Another way to clean that i find works best for me is filling the water tank with water mixed with vinger and lime and running the ice maker. This way it runs through all the water pipes and also cleans the ice tubes. Only down fall to this is you would have to run a couple cycles of clean water after to flush out the vinger/lime water mix or else your cubes may have a sour taste.
Q: Does the unit shut off automatically when it runs out of water?
A: Yes, it does shut-off automatically.
