It came in broken so I had to return it and pick up the same model from Target.

Could NOT convince the ice make that it actually had water in it. Quit on me so I quit on it.

Very slow and only makes small baskets of ice.....like watching paint dry.

I bought this to replace the horrible ice maker in our refrigerator. It is the “freezes up weekly” useless type in an ironically expensive machine. Setup and cleaning of this Insignia unit was simple. It produces ice very quickly (as advertised). When compared to the average refrigerator ice maker which produces maybe 6 pounds of ice daily (when it actually works), this unit wins hands down. It is also cool that it can be taken anywhere. I have also started saving bags of ice when the bin fills.

Returning product as ice cubes smell like plastic!

This thing has taken over our primary ice needs. It is amazing! I pour filtered water in from a “zero water” filter and it delivers nothing but the best ice. Yes you have to use an ice pick from time to time, nature of the beast, totally worth it. Between the zero water filter and this ice machine, bottled watet and bagged ice is a thing of the past. :-)

Just got this machine today. Awesome. My family uses up all the ice from the refrigerator and yet we still need more. This machine is working perfectly so far and the ice I put in my cooler lasted all night. I've only had this 12 hours so far but I am giving it a thumbs up. I also made the 2 different sized cubes. They are similar in size but there is a difference.

Great to use when throwing parties and want some extra ice or even when you are outside at a BBQ. Ice is quickly made and proficiently.

I’ve had this product for five years and it has never failed me and it makes the best ice cubes. Great for families and parties.

I picked this up for my dorm/apartment because I didn't know how much room would be in the freezer, but I knew ice would likely not be a given in there. We have tons of counter-space, so it was easy to just keep it plugged in and in use all the time, and my roommates love it. However, this particular unit has almost no removable parts, and I noticed mold growing in hard-to-reach areas near where the water actually freezes. I'm at a loss on how to easily get back there, and even their instruction manual just says to wipe out the main compartment with a cloth -- that wouldn't help at all in this case. I read some other instructionals that say you can run a bleach solution through the ice-maker to make sure everything is sanitized, but I really just wished they would have made the item able to be disassembled so I could throw them in the dishwasher or at least give them a good scrub. Before I noticed the mold, I would have given this item 5 stars. It's been so useful and I love having ice whenever I need it. But it doesn't seem designed for constant use, it seems more like a party item where you use it for a few hours, then dry it out and put it away. Disappointing... but oh well!

Here we are several years later an I’ve maker is still doing a great job. Recommended

I have purchased three of these ice makers within the last year. One for myself and two others as gifts. All three ice makers are wonderful for about 4 months, but that is about it. Mine stopped making ice shortly after about 4 months. It keeps saying that the ice bin is full when it is empty. It seems like the little flap that scoops the ice into the bin is out of alignment or something. Now it will only make ice about twice a day. The people I gave these as gifts to say they are now having the same issue. There has to be a defect somewhere. I'm 0 for 3 on this unit and have to give it just a one star. To spend $120 on something, and have it not work after 4 months of ownership is not good.

I bought this ice maker for a friend, and they say that it works great they love it

I bought this in Dec 2018. It just started malfunctioning today. Highly recommend getting the 4 year warranty as it seems that's how long they last. Overall, very happy with purchase, Leftover ice melts and runs back in to the water supply.

I think I'm starting my third summer with this ice maker and it is still working well. I keep it plugged in and making ice for over a month each summer and sporadically for weeks at a time throughout the rest of the year. A great deal when its on sale...I bought another one for a second location in 2018.

Less than 5 minutes it was dropping ice in the bucket, have it in my office all day, not bad, fairly quite. It is about the size of an auto coffee maker.

I love to chew ice & this was a great choice since I don't have an icemaker on my fridge. I only gave it 4 stars because it comes with 2 settings for small or large ice. However, it only makes large ice no matter the setting. Also, the ice doesn't look like the ice in the picture.

I got the ice maker 2 months ago and I've loved it... but this morning I woke up and it wont even turn on. Looking for feedback to see if I can fix it.
