    It's highly recommended to buy yourself a protection plan when buying high end items. Cover your bases. Worth it!

    This does not cover any screen damages, not worth it considering the length of original warranty. Not being able to have my TV replaced has multiplied my depressive episodes.

    In March purchased a 42” Insignia F20 Smart FireTV for my 76 year old mother that lives in SC. TV stopped working about 2 weeks after purchase. According to agreement they were suppose to provide home service for size 42 and Up and an appointment was made for to do a home repair. My appointment was canceled because they said they don’t do home repair for 42” tv however it clearly states it in the agreement. After making several appointments and having them cancelled at the last mintue, I had to drive 8 hours to drive the TV to a Best Buy’s store.

    I've been without a TV for over a month, due to my TV going out before the one year mark, and Geek Squad also sending a third party contractor to my house in street clothes with no protections of any type. He broke the TV worse than it was before, left my house saying call Best Buy to get the real Geek Squad. I did, and I'm still out a TV as nothing that the agents told me to do is working. Walmart or Target probably have better protection plans.

    Bought this warranty for an LG 43" smart TV. Until the device is over 1 year old, Best Buy WILL NOT SERVICE YOUR TV!!! Best Buy will not even interact on the customer's behalf with the manufacturer! Read the fine print before buying this warrant!!

    GEEK SQUAD PROTECTION IS A SCAM

    Best buy just recently changed their protection plan. It will not fix or cover anything within the first year....even though I bought a 2 year warranty....they are telling me I have to reach out to the manufacturer. I just lost out on $1000.00

    i purchased the $39.99 warrantry for the tv. I was told by the cashier that it was a warranty that covered anything from dropping it on the floor to it just stopping. When I brought it in because the sound did not work right I was told by a snob in customer service that I broke the jack where the headphones went in.She said that was not covered and I told her what the cashier had told me about the coverage. I was refunded the #39.99 for the warranty. I just want you to know I will never shop at best buy again because I was lied to about the warranty. I am sure that you don't care about my problem but you lost a customer. I will pay more for an item at another business before I will step foot inside your store again. Thomas Miller
