    Warranty ran out as soon as the TV broke. I mean about a week apart so I didn’t even get a chance to use it.

    Paid for a $200 warranty for five years TV is only two years old still without a TV and it’s been a month. They sent two groups of wrong technicians to my home. Just to tell me it’s broke and there’s nothing they can do.

    They will tell you a pack of promises and lies to sell you the product. The worst diversion of Best Buy besides the lies the General Manager and his soldiers will tell you. DON'T BELIEVE A WORD THEY ARE SAYING. GET IT IN WRITING.

    I purchased the insurance based on the recommendation of a sales rep only to find out they don’t cover that type of damage. I am requesting a FULL refund of the protection plan.

    I purchased this and thought it was really expensive for a two year warranty. Especially since the tv manufacture warrants the first twelve months. Since I bought a 65 Inch OLED from Sony thought I was foolish if I didn't take it out. Come on Best Buy be reasonable!!

      Hi Eddie – Even though the Geek Squad Protection Plan runs concurrent to Sony’s warranty, it does cover some things that Sony will not.     I purchased a 5 year Geek Squad contract and the first issue, which was minor, the Geek Squad failed to handle.

    Phone Line Sucks

    This is not a complaint to the agents in store, but to the phone line associated with this. Very unhelpful as no one knew what to do with my issue and kept getting redirected or transferred. Even had someone hang up on me!

    If you purchase protection it does not extend for the number of years after the manufacturer warranty it starts the day that you purchase the product so if you purchase a 2 year warranty, it will expire 2 years from the date, it is not an extra 2 years beyond manufacturers warranty

    Don't ever buy geek squad. The woman could not help fix anything. She couldn't even find geek squad support even though its on my account.

    I took my tv to the Best Buy geek squad and they told me that the insurance does not cover accidental damage but when it bought it they told me that it did so the only the nag left to do was to purchase a new one ok

      Hi Logitech – I’m sorry about the miscommunication regarding the coverage on your Geek Squad Protection plan. Only certain plans offer coverage for accidental damage from handling. You can always check the full Terms and Conditions at www.geeksquad.com/terms. If your television is no longer covered by the plan, you should be able to return the plan for its pro-rated remaining value at your local Best Buy.

    Sales men told me I was buying a replace plan, that if anything happens it would be replaced. I how for a fact its not a replacement plan. If your have issue they will send it for repair and a month later they will tell you it can be fixed then the won't refund your money. You get store credit for way less then what you paid. But it's better then nothing.

    If I could have given it a zero or negative I would have. Was only ever given 1 purchase option, didn't cover. Would have needed a different option of coverage.

    This insurance doesn't cover accidents

    Someone accidentally cracked my TV screen. I went to BestBuy to setup an appointment to get the screen repaired, when I was informed this coverage doesn't cover accidents or repair screens. It's only for manufacturer defects and failures, what the manufacturer's already offer for a year for FREE. Don't waste your money it's a scam.

      Our Geek Squad Protection is indeed aimed at protecting the TV from any defects, dead pixels, or other issues that may arise during the ownership of the unit. While accidental damage isn't covered, it is an extension of the original manufacturers warranty and it is generally easier to execute than going directly through the manufacturer. I apologize for any inconvenience you may have faced.

    I wish I could've gave no stars. Not good for anything don't waste your money, tech told me it would cover anything that happened to the device. Not so at all.

    Lazy, not knowledgeable on anything except passing the 'buck'....sell the warranty for what it is....free shipping to the service center in Dallas so the customer can be without the merchandise for over 3 weeks....there should at least be a 'loaner'....very unhappy, almost to the point that we have seriously discussed never buying from Best Buy again.

    Not worth the money.... You pay for this service time based on when the company thinks the product will fail...... I 2 yr old Samsung just dies weeks out from this service plan.... not worth the money.
