    I generally purchase protection plans for large ticket items and for smaller ticket items if the costs of the protection plan does not exceed 15% of the purchase price which is still a bit high. I have had to use the benefits of a protection plan before and for the most part it is worthwhile. Seems that the satisfaction level is largely based on the store's management policies and store reps. In a worst case scenario it's good insurance if you have product failure and or need support service.

    I had the protection on my old TV and I'm glad I did! MY TV broke 4 months after my original warranty ran out. I called them and they came out to fix it, they had to order a new board. They came back 2 more times, and they couldn't fix it, so they gave me another brand new TV. tv

    I've had great service from Geek Squad in the past with my warranties so I can't complain. This is why I decided to purchase the extended warranty from them on my TVL tv.

    I bought a floor model OLED LG 55 inch TV because the price was too good to pass up. I bought this warranty because it was an floor model, I usually don't purchase an extended warranty. Im so glad I did. There was burn in on the wcreen when I got home and the geek squad came over and replaced my screen within a week. Amazing customer service and amazing warranty! Thanks geek squad and Best buy!

    the geek squad was very helpful I brought in a few computers that were outdated and irreparable and they were able to retrieve my info and pictures onto a harddrive. they were friendly quick and efficient

    Purchased a new TV didn’t want the headache I recall the difficulty we had putting the other TV above the fireplace so I opted in for the geek squad protection and installation so very handy it was nice as they took the TV off the wall and put the new one up And set it up it was great well worth what I paid for it no it’s covered so on those dog toys go flying TV is covered

    Apparently, this is an excellent warranty according to all my answered questions about how the warrant works. All I have to do is call the Best Buy store if I need assistance with my TV. The TV stays at home, and I am glad about that since it is mounted on a wall. The technicians come my home if I ever need assistance. I feel really comfortable and happy that I bought a 5 year warranty.

    I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my recent return attempt under the Best Buy Protection Plan. Despite the product being defective and covered by my plan, the store’s general manager refused to process the return, claiming he did not observe the issue I described. I also explained that I could not leave the monitor at the store since I needed a replacement immediately to complete my work, yet I was offered no professional support or resolution. It is troubling how easily these protection plans are sold, yet when customers attempt to use them, the process feels dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. This experience leaves me questioning the value of the program and the commitment to customer care.

    The geek squad technicians that came to my home to service my tv were very good. However, the customer service on the phone, scheduling (a 12 HOUR WINDOW) and the lack of follow through (being told someone will call me back or email me) from the escalation team and never hearing from anyone. And being told that there must be 3 SERVICE CALLS (not including diagnostic ones) in order for them to replace the broken tv) made this a very bad customer service experience.

    Definitely worth investing in. I had an issue with a previous model of my Oled and I was able to exchange and grab a larger screen for a very low cost!

    If you do not buy this and your item has a hissy fit - getting service on it is EXPENSIVE... so good luck if you do not buy this coverage. I buy Geek Squad with anything that is an electronic - anytime I have had a problem - they are fast, efficient and worth it! Coverage is transferable too - handy! Always recommend!
