The benefit of extended warranties is debatable, since many people never wind up using them. Never having had a range with a glass top, I needed the extra reassurance. The cost of the Geek Squad plan is low enough to make it an easy decision. Another factor was that this plan was about half the cost of the one directly from Frigidaire.

I would like to give a shout out to Hosny Tshimanga. He is an in-home counselor for Bestbuy. He was sent to my home to review the appliance I used to have, and advise if there are any concerns with the new appliance I have chosen. Throughout the purchase process, he would help out wheneverI give him a call and has been supportive. So appreciative of his help.

All of my appliances in my kitchen are from Best Buy and insured by the geek squad. I highly recommend the five-year warranty.

Make sure to buy the 5 year warranty. I needed it for my previous microwave which was serviced three times and last time it went out was two weeks before end of service. Best Buy gave me credit for a new microwave and bought another new warranty for my new unit. I love they stand by their warranty and never had an issue.

We haven't the opportunity to use the protection plan. Which is a good thing and hope I don't have to use it.

We used Geek Squad to install our new dishwasher, to include disposing of our old washer. The installers were quick and efficient. No problems noted. note: I noticed water sometimes coming out of the overflow valve atop our sink, which is how this valve is suppossed to function ... but given that this is a new washer with new hoses, this should not habe been the case. Geek Squad was prompt in returning to inspect and made a quick correction by shortening and re-routing the drain hose. THis appears to have solved the problem. And the plumber noted that I had a proble (cracked drian pipe connector) on an adjacent sink not related to the washer and told me how to fix it (not related to the washer work), WIthout his quick inspection and advice, I may have had a bad water leak to deal with.

It's worth it if your product completely fails you within the warranty period, but the effort required to submit a claim is exhausting, is exhausting

First time purchasing the warranty for a product. I hope it comes in handy when and if ever needed.

Love the refrigerator, plenty of room abd really good ice .

This is a must!!! You will save thousands of dollars if you get a bad product or the unexpected happens.

Bought this coverage for a Samsung dishwasher, only caveat is that evidence of rodents void the protection.

I'm picky about which items I get extended warranties for. But if I'm going to get one, Geek Squad is among the best. Have used their service in the past on other appliances, and the service was always top notch.

5 years warranty is very good for the new product. Best Buy have a very good warranty

I’ve always bought the BB warranties for big purchases, lucky i have never had to use it or make a claim in 15 years of being a bb customer. The one time I didn’t buy it was for a dryer, looking back that was a mistake.. heating element keep blowing out every year. The policy gives me peace of mind on my new purchases.

We bought an LG dishwasher in January of 2023. We got it because our Maytag died after 5 years. I’m so thankful we bought the protection because this is the second time in 3 months my LG has gone out. Totally worth it, the first fix would have been $600 if we didn’t have the protection. Also don’t buy an LG dishwasher!

Geek squad service was great! They were easy to work with and answered all of my questions.

I purchsed awarranty for for my Juicer. One day while using it I must have pressed the plastic piece too much and it got damaged by the blades since the fruit had already juiced. I called Best Buy to get a replacement piece, they asked me to return the whole juicer for a new one! I have increasingly started purchasing more kitchen appliances from Best Buy because after intensive research, on best quality and pricing, I found they had the best prices for my stainless steel fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Juicer etc. The customer service is excellent!

Protection Plans are pretty expensive but when you need something repaired or replaced the agents are on it, and it's usually a fast and easy experience.
