I wish I was joking....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the store brand Insignia 20.5 cu ft fridge in stainless steel and within a year the shelves started breaking. Spent 3 days attempting to remedy situation through extended 5 year warranty purchased. Was told damage is difficult to prove or disprove and that an appt to have a technician come out to my house would be necessary to determine if shelf was indeed broken and whether it could be fixed or needed replaced. I had brought the broken Insignia refrigerator shelf in to the store with me. I asked if he was saying the only course of action I had was to take the broken shelf back to my house, try to reinstall it and then schedule an appt with a tech to come to my house to make the determination that it was broken and he said that my understanding was correct. He said it was corporate policy which he had no hand in creating but must abide by . I asked where the "fix it" techs work out of. He said the stores but there was no way for customers or fellow employees to contact them when in store and directed me to contact their main 'help" line. Since I had already spent 2 days trying to get help through the online chat function which led me to be told to bring the shelf into a store to get service only to be told by this Geek Squad employee that their helpline employees were incorrect and now on day 3 of trying to get a workable fridge main shelf I needed to go call the helpline again. I told him I was reluctant to do so as I was already 3 days in and the helpline had sent me to him and he was trying to send me back. I asked for contact information so I could discuss my experience and how their corporate policy effected me and he again gave me the help line telephone number and said that there were no addresses or emails that customers could access or be given, that it was corporate policy that he had no control over because he just worked there. Why even bother? With poor quality products and poor design backed up by the Geek Squad who refuses service and employees who simply can't or won't be autonomous or attempt to actually remedy a situation, why even bother? Spend your money elsewhere, somewhere you and your money is valued and appreciated.

We have bought multiple appliances and electronics from Best Buy and have experienced a high level of expertise in dealing with the few issues we have faced. When it is broken, they know how to fix it and they do it fast.

Best Buy Geek Squad Warranty is the best

It was a wise choice because my TV had a problem and the Geek Squad got it fixed in no time at all.

Product Protection Plan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I highly recommend making the purchase protection plan for you never know when a product will go bad. This plan was so important to me when my refrigerator starting having ice maker problems. Went through 3 efforts to get it fixed and nothing worked. Through the Protection Plan I was able to get a new refrigerator with maximum protection on cost of new refrigerator, plus protection under Geek Squad service. I highly recommend these plans when making a high dollar purchase.

Warranties are a must

Fridge reborn !
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I bought this fridge I knew it was the best, but for some reason I got the warranty and right away it crossed my mind it wasn't the smartest decision . How wrong was I . Later when it broke down I couldn't stop thinking what a scam the warranty had been .But my wife convinced me to call and to my surprise all of a sudden it became the greatest deal ever . They went through as agreed in the contract . What an opposite as with other warranties .I would definitely recommend it !

The quickly work to try and solve my problem with my LG, sadly the company sent didn’t really work with LG well and couldn’t fix it. They quickly reimburse me, no questions ask, no hassle, no paper filling, just quickly gave me store credit of what I paid once it was deem it couldn’t be fix. They were always friendly and work quickly to set up the dates for fixing and try everything they could. HIGHLY recommend them for any of your equipment.

Insurance for items with technology

I highly recommend you do the same as technology breaks without even being touched. I unfortunately have experienced that with a laptop going out 6 months after the manufacturer warranty ended. It was keep up very nicely and nothing was done wrong on my part. Yes you pay more for insurance but technology can never be trusted---- even when purchased new.
