    Do not get geek squad for a kitchen appliances

    The geek squad for my fridge was the worst ever, literally a waste of time for 3 days a total of 24 hours wasted waiting for a repair company to show up fix a fixture that at the end of the day i fixed with super glue, they kept trying to send the same company what was stupid as heck that after the first time even geek squad could not get a hold of them!!! But said they will come, after the third missed appointment from them I canceled the protection plan and used that money for super glue

    It is a waste of money to buy the protection plan. It takes several months to get the parts in so by that time, you have to buy a new fridge anyway. Who can go without a refrigerator for 3 months...or longer, shoot I'm still waiting. They could give you a voucher for a new one but instead would rather order every part in the book and make you wait.

    I bought & paid for it. Now, in November 23---29, 2020 I am trying to use it on my refrigerator I purchased at Best Buy, they can't find it.. I bought the Whirlpool 25.2 cu ft side by side stainless steel. Two shelves broke & I need them replaced. They haven't helped. Be careful with buying at Best Buy.

    I bought this fridge in Oct of 2023, so it’s been about 6 months. Last month the ice maker stopped allowing us to get “cubed” ice and will only disperse crushed ice. Now the water dispenser isn’t working. I am still under my 1 year warranty & I also have geek squad so I’ll be contacting Best Buy.. but 6 months?! Ridiculous

    With a Samsung Fridge, the 1sr year of warranty is through Samsung, but the warranty expires adter the time you paid for. Noone told me.

    Got the run around when freezer went out

    Took 4 months and 7 visits to be able to exch fridge. Did not receive call backs when they said they would. Would spend an hr on the phone each time I called trying to get situation resolved. Had third party come out 7 times and try to fix the freezer and they couldn't. Had to reach out to corporate to finally get issue resolved. Not very happy at all with the run around I got from Geek Sq.

    WHAT PROTECTION AGREEMENT

    Do not even consider buying a protection agreement on an appliance. There is no protection agreement they pass you around they hang up on you they act like you got disconnected and don’t call you back even though they have three phone numbers for you. Absolutely DO NOT stand behind their product at all even when they just delivered it and it doesn’t work.

    I returned the refrigerator but the system didn't return the extended warranty purchase automatically. The phone Geek Squad reps are transferring me to Best Buy to dispute and Best Buy chat reps seem to be Robots/AI etc. At this point, I'm going in circles with different departments, and their robots..
